I used to love watching this show, when it was airing on TV for the first time. But time (and experience) only made me realize how pedestrian it was. The characters have no depth, the conclusions of each episode can be summed up with one simple sentence. Ok, maybe two sometimes... And the format becomes repetitive after only a couple of episodes. Anthony LaPlagia was unable to make his lead character look sympathetic, let alone worth sympathizing with. Actually, none of them were. They all seemed to have a chip on their shoulders, which made them unable to do their jobs efficiently, and it made you question the importance of their department too often. And the victims/missing persons, were way too flawed to care or feel relieved about, when they were eventually found. To be blunt, I think it shouldn't have gone past its first season, there were far more engaging procedural series to watch and compared to those that came afterward, this one (regardless of the cast and soundtrack) feels now more redundant than its peers.
