  • interesting somehow, not a masterpiece

I am a Chespirito's fan from 1980's, and wanted to see this production with expectation. The cast is amazing, some characters are very similar to actual actors (Clotilde and Villagrán mainly).

The problem is the script and direction. In some scenes you can tell the lack of production, not carefully filming. They could do it better overall in El Chavo del 8 sketches that every fan knows very well.

Florinda Meza (Margarita/Maggie) and other "villain" characters looks a little forced, you cannot tell they were like personification.

Son, summarly this is a nice production with big flaws. Meanwhile many fans looks for more information on web.

  • An overrater

The story revolves around a mentally troubled character with a low level of intelligence. It is not clear whether his experience in Vietnam has much or little to do with it, but suffering from insomnia one might think so.

In any case, a couple of nightmare-like images could make this issue clear. The scenes of him trying to conquer a beautiful woman are very uncomfortable to watch (maybe that's the idea) but at least to me it seemed incongruous with many of the later actions of the protagonist.

I give them credit for the images in certain scenes, for the crudeness of the environment in which the plot develops, but at least to me they seemed like simple accessories to an extremely flat story, with very slow attempts at twists that lose effect on the viewer.

In short, it is a very overrated work. Excellent performance by De Niro.

  • Promising start and that is it

It starts as drama, very interesting movie, with good acting, and semi original dialogues. You can not tell it is a terror movie in the first hour, asking yourself if the argument description was correct. Suddenly paranormal event occured now and then, inmersing you in a quite intriguing story. But, then it starts what we have been seeing for decades. Same exorcising stuff, with the same CGI of other cheap movies... At the end you thank this same old thing lasts less than half hour.

The most interesting thing about this story is what you can google next day about real Latoya Ammons family !!!

  • Refreshing action/thriller movie

It is not the best movie of the year, but you can enjoy 2 hours of a interenting thriller/action movie. It touches somehow your most inner feelings about love between two young adults.

It is notorious the german touch in action scenes (not so Hollywood, which I appreriate).

Nice acting, not the best, let's say: according to a sunday movie.

I like the ending, not so expecting, and giving the feeling it could be a second part without so much effort.

If you want a simple, well structured action movie, this is it. This is why you cannot despise every Netflix movie. After all they can invest in foreign nice movies...

  • Good quality movie

It is a very good quality movie, since it was made in Argentina with some spanish investment, I was very impressed with acting, editing and camera managing. Thus, I am glad to offer 7 stars out of 10.

You can imagine some aspects of the story right from the begining (love, frienship, rivality, etc), but you cannot tell what the end is going to be. And that is most precious thing about the movie: it's a twist that you cannot expect. But one that you can totally justify according to characters.

But, it is not one of the top ten movies made in Latin America, at most is in top 20 maybe.

Nevertheless, you have to see it. Enjoy !

  • Just 1 funny scene...

I am giving 4 stars cause make laugh real hard for 5 min... and that's it.

Not so much to say. Just another lousy movie. Weak jokes, real simply script (not saying as a positive thing).

    Exagerated acting. Real akward moments.

Well, if you are a easy-laugh person, maybe this is your kind of movie.

You can easily guess what is the end of the story. It is nice to see Sandra Oh in a role. Farrel is not of my favorites, but that's ok with his character. Awkwafina some kind of irritaring most of scenes.

Well, not so much to say, I repeat. Don't waste your time and money, there are more comedies to see.

  • Surprisingly good movie

Surprisingly good. Not the best, just a pleasant, well telled movie/documentary.

What I most enjoyed is that It is not a pretentious film. Evenly, they make fun of themselves.. You can enjoy flashbacks of that years, with good music and events around the story.

About acting, those guys made a good job. They are carismatic. And you can tell real Milli Vanilli reacted the same way to all voragine they caused.

At the end you can relate with this guys, figuring what you could react to all proposals ther received. And comparing to current music with all the tecnology helping them.

As they said back days: They made a pact with the devil.

  • Unbearable

At first this movie caught your interest. Something new about it, maybe!

But no! Just another movie about some crazy lady that likes to "solve" justice by herself.

Questionable acting. Poor character development. Ok with outfits, just saying something nice.

    I couldnt finish it.

Overall, is nice to see Katie Holmes acting. She is refreshing no matter age. And about romantic scenes, they look completely akward. Yes, maybe is intentional, but you can tell that, because of the poor directing.

So, if you want to see a B-movie, this is your choise. Not expect more than that. You could forget about it 5 min after the end.

  • Not a bad movie, but...

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed some aspects about this movie, but there are many thing to say about it.

First of all, acting was the best part of it. Lupita is a really good actress. The other guy did it good as well. CGI good enough.

The problem here is a narrative matter.

You can understand that keeping quiet is most valuable thing for the story, but not the only one. If this is "Day one" why don't spend some time explaining how aliens came from outterspace. What goverment and people do about it... They landed in spaceships? Are there some brains directing those horrible monsters? (they look like alien savage animals with no other mission besides destroy the humanity.

So, producers lost this chance to build a solid trama around it.

  • What was that ending?

My gosh.... you build a nice plot, with very known and respectful cast, nice acting, escenic, etc... but you forget to finish it nicely... Why in the world you would think that is a good endind... Maybe they invest all the money (and brains) thinking about catching people interest in the story... In the middle of the movie, you would think this a very interesting story, with many possibilities, you do not know for sure whats is going on out there, in cities, and in the whole country... very intriguing... But, of course, writters were only paid to write it to that point... and then only a mediocre ending is ahead.

  • Weak and boring script

Where to start. At the begining you have a reasonable expectation of tension and some interesting story... But everything falls apart at first 60min of movie... Questionable acting, pretty obscure scenening... Not so much to say.

Maybe Nicolas Cage only asks for a good money when he select his movies... But for decades this actor only participate in very poor movies.

At the end of this movie, you only have questions, and you can count at leat 10 holes in script (why this and why that) Do not waste your time. There are a lot of post apocaliptic movie around instead of this one.... Thanks for this opp.

  • Don't waste your time

A pretty boring, unnecessarily slow movie. Acting was ok. Some dialogs maybe interesting... but at the end is forgettable movie. Adam Sandler is not a great actor, and you can find some other movies of him to spend a funny time. Space spider is ridiculous, and sometimes you can remember "Castaway" similarities, but nothing more than a rugged copy of that.... You can relate with the love story, but there is no explanation of the feelings they are going through. Actress did a good job, and Raj (from The Big Bang Theory) is something new for some of us, very refreshing for his career. Well, in summary: don't waste your time.

  • Overrated. Just a funny and confusing movie

Not so much to say... An Sunday movie, with 4 o 5 funny scenes that repeat them selves over and over ... Ok acting and editing....but, for an Oscar reward.... No, man, noooo!

They took ideas from Ratatouille (more evident) and the matrix (not so evident) ir order to stuff more than 2 hours of unnecessary time.... Maybe a 1.5hrs movie tops.... This is an evidence of how low cinema has fall this time .. I hope more profound movies in near future to be at least considered for an Academy Award...

It is nice to see Jamie Lee Curtis in a funny role... But not so much to say about this... Please Hollywood make better movies.
