I study computer science at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay.

I am a generalized movie rater and a video game reviewer (inspired by AVGN- James R.). My entire childhood revolved around digital(ish) media. Movies and video games were my "thing."

I am currently under an emphasis in Game Development/Design in Information Science - Game Development (under the umbrella of Computer Science) at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. I have been a video game and movie aficionado for over thirty-years (30).

My ratings are from an average American, to an average American. Not everyone will agree with my viewpoint, but I can distinguish the difference from a bad movie/game; as well as a good movie/game.

All opinions are my own and do not reflect individuals or companies/corporations, as their choices are their own as well.

  • This Better Get GOTY!

I made a review in the recent past that must've gotten rejected. I tried to tear the game apart and find anything to b**** about. I couldn't find a single thing. Eventhough this review will not be as extensive and detailed, I would like to go over the awesomeness with a list of things that were better than even the early stages of Ubisoft and their best games:

    1) Overall gameplay and controls

    2) THE STORY IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

    3) Is playable by players of different calibers with a difficulty setting, letting players just enjoy a REALLY good story if gameplay challenge is not saught.

    4) Awesome visual aesthetics

    5) INTERACTIVE turn based battles.

As a gamer for over thirty years, I am assuming you will share the same opinions. The story is so good it brings you to tears.

If you enjoy RPGs, I recommend this game with full confidence. This game is a revolution of the turn based RPG genre, and now set the bar SUPER HIGH!

Perfect ten (10), and I don't rate ten often.

This game has proved that politics and other beuacracy does NOT belong in the video game industry. This is what you get when you are passionate and actually care about the game you make.

  • A Wrap-Up With a List Of 'I Would Rathers.'

Another film with the overly done sexual exploitation of females. I am a male and I love the female body just as much as any other man, but when a film relies on scenes such as this, it usually means there is no story or other redeeming qualities. Nudity or sex portrayed by female actresses should only be included if it integrates itself to a story, otherwise it is just us a way to hook young male viewers, aged 18-25, and nothing otherwise.

The acting in the film is abysmal (not like the actors had any actual situational context to react to). I'm surprised I actually made it through this film, specifically focusing on the first fifteen minutes of watching. My lord is it bad. It's not even laughable bad, it's just ....BAD!

    ---- A LIST OF I WOULD RATHER----

    * I would rather stick salt coated toothpicks in my eyeballs than watch this again.

    * I would rather punch a Jaguar in the testicles before I watch this again.

    * I would rather a grizzly bear take a dump ilon my face than watch this again.

    * I would rather soak a cutip in saltwater and insert it into their oraphus of my genitals than watch this again.

This is probably the dumbest movie I've watched in the last five years.

  • An "If You're in the Mood for It" Type of Film.

I have to give the film credit for having a unique base setting to an anthology-based horror film.

There isn't much of a review here, since the film is flat and immensely mundane. It isn't terrible.

The CGI is kind of cheesy in the beginning, but nevertheless the demons and the films description of Hell are very "awesome" (for lack of better terminology).

Some of the stories are original, but are lacking in story depth, and they come off as mundane. I would categorize this film to be put into the supernatural horror genre, but that is just my opinion.

The stories themselves are not "scary" or "creepy/dark" as some may say but are intriguing in their own sort of way. On the contrary, the stories are quite boring.

I believe that the best aesthetic portions of the film are in the beginning and in "Hell." Otherwise, the film is rather mediocre.

I think it would be worth a one-time watch.

    5/10.
