A very intriguing and slightly quirky period detective series set in Vienna.

The actors are well cast and the stories are compelling.

My only (minor) gripes are that each episode is about an hour and a half long and there are only 3 in each series. Personally I would prefer them to be about an hour and more of them.

I'm certainly looking forwards to series 3.

I found the 1st series to be fun and quirky, something different despite its dark themes.

As is so often the case the 2nd series, like a 2nd album, was slightly disappointing - but still enjoyable and you hope the 3rd series will regain some of the sparkle of the 1st.

Unfortunately the 3rd doesn't, but continues the downwards trend. You watch it to see what happens in a series that you originally thought was very good - but you don't enjoy it really.

The 4th will be the last. You watch it in anticipation that it will regain its former glory - but instead it's awful. Characters are introduced that don't make sense, gruesome for the sake of gruesome and rather conceited.

The last episode is completely unfulfilling and disappoints - but at least you can then breath a sigh of relief that you won't need to watch it anymore.

So far I have watched 3 episodes and the acting has been top notch from all the cast plus the story telling is engaging and makes you want to come back for more.

I'm sure this will go down as one of the classics.
