Never thought Netflix could show such a simple & beautiful case. An ensemble cast with good storyline & tight direction. The good thing about Mamla Legal Hai showcases many paradoxes of India yet never ever going cheesy or overboard. The episodes are good & cast fits the bill. There's also a unique twist in most episodes especially in the last ones. The story arc develops well almost like both Jolly LLBs. The character of Langoor man is fascinating & I was reminded of Ardhnarishwar from Gulaal. There are other characters which are equally good but to me Ravi Kishan is heart & soul of this show. He always had good screen presence but here he showcases his true range. Phenomenal Ravi Kishan & as he always - Zindagi jhand ba phir bhi ghamand ba... 😊
This is a movie of journey of a man hailing from a village in Morena, near Gwalior in MP. The portrayal, the journey as well as the set up is too realistic. The cinematography, BGM are all top notch. All characters are brilliantly written & acted. Leading lady Medha Shankar is absolutely brilliant with proper emotions. But the movie has the biggest star in form of Vikrant Massey. He lives the character. Be it the scenes of helplessness in village or in Delhi, he's too good. The scenes in Flour mill are too emotional & brilliantly enacted. There's no preachiness yet strikes the right notes. Vidhu Vinod Chopra you have created a masterpiece. This one is your best work ever including Parinda & easily the best movie this year & probably of last 2/3 years.
If this is entertaining or romantic, then I don't know where Manmarziyan, Tamasha or Laila Majnu would stand (classics - I guess). A bogus movie with bad acting (overacting). I was expecting layered nuances of modern day relationships & other modern day problems, instead got a mind numbing experience of overacting & pointless scene after scene. What's the purpose of our characters in this movie & why do they exist ? In which world do our characters live, no movie had Covid, no one ever faces competitive entrances, no one faces recession, no one ever has decent conversation over Coffee. Either they dance in slo mo after taking shots or they are sleeping together. Arey Idiots, world is different & beautiful, much more than silliness you guys project. Bollywood movies have lost it completely. May be someday better cinema with better actors will make more moolah at box office. Sorry guys totally wasted my time & money. Meanwhile, we wait for Oppenheimer.
