No idea of what the short series would be like prior to watching it, but after watching the first of eight episodes we knew we had stumbled upon an absolute gem. There is no prior reference for the eight episodes providing separate, unrelated stories except maybe "Touched by an Angel" There are no derogatory words for this series, it is simply amazing and possibly one of the best family shows "EVER"
Here we are a couple of white Caucasian pensioners living in mostly red neck area of Alberta. Early in the movie, our hearts jumped out of our chests and never eased. We can only appreciate that we never lived in this way of life, yet only envision we would have been there to help and only hope we had the courage to do so. Amandla Stenberg in the lead role was phenomenal. the rest of the cast and crew were 9.9. This may "EASILY" be the best movie we have ever seen
Ever watch a movie you knew nothing about that captivated you for the entire length of the movie. The plot was good, but the daughter was phenomenal and brought a smile to your face every time she was involved in a scene. A great family movie, watch it, you won't be disappointed.
