  • warm story

This is a warm story that three sisters and a half sister by a different mother. Three sisters, Sachi, Yoshino, and Chika live in Kamakura alone. They have bad news that their father who disappeared from them 15 years ago pasts away. They leaves for Yamagata where holds a funeral for him, and meets a half sister by a different mother, Suzu. Sachi worries about Suzu because she becomes emaciated from the death of her father, and suggests her to live with three sisters.

In this movie, big events don't happen, for example, conflicts, disagreement among people. However, I think this movie is good because this can describe little happiness of every day conscientiously. The acting of four sisters is so natural and good. The acting of Suzu is especially great. I think Suzu is the difficult role who is a half sister by the woman father is having an affair with, but Suzu Hirose can play her naturally and describe well the girl who keeps her real thoughts all to herself. I want to recommend this movie people who want to heave a sigh of relief or think about family deeply.

  • great action movie

This is the most interesting action movie I have ever seen. In order to spend Christmas with his family, a city police officer, John McClane, comes to Los Angeles from New York where he lives alone. For a while, he makes an appearance at Christmas party of Nakatomi building where his wife, Horry, works at, but the whole building is occupied by the hit squad. John tries to rescue his wife and other hostage.

I like this movie very much because offense and defense of John and terrorists are worth seeing. The acting of Bruce Willis is nice. He can complete a hard action without using a stuntman and play a fine human touch well. In addition, it's funny that John doesn't die easily however he receives a serious wound. I think that character image of John is elaborated well. The close teamwork of John and Powell is also good.

  • funny comedy

This is a comedy that a young bot tries to save his home from the thieves by himself. A family come to travel for Palis in full force. However, the youngest son, Kevin, is left behind alone in his home because his family is in a big rush in the morning of a departure date. He feels gladdened for his first single life. At that moment, a party of two thieves have their eyes on Kevin's house because they misunderstand there is nobody.

I have seen this film for many times, but it's really interesting and I cannot stop laughing whenever I see. Kevin is always buried by his older brother and sister, but he can grow stronger through saving his home from the thieves by himself. In addition, his way of fighting for the thieves is so funny and cute. It's also humorous that the thieves are defeated easily by such childish strategy. I especially like the scene that Kevin drives off them by using a gang movie.

  • the story which matches the times

This is a fantasy of a shy boy who is a hidden genius of a summer. On July 30, 2010 there is a virtual world, OZ, which is on the Internet that people all over the world crowd. A shy high school student, Kenji, is invited for a summer job by the senior he longs for, Natsuki. It is her relative who wait them at her home. Moreover, Kenji is asked to pretend to be her betrothed by her, he manages to do that. During he stays her home, he breaks something like some code by using math which he is good at in the middle of the night. From next day, Japanese Society is thrown into confusion.

I could enjoy this story very much. I think that the director reflects the real world in recent years to this film. In these days, the world is supported by network, so the Internet and smartphone are essential for our dairy life. I think this film shows the danger of the Internet Society by using animation which may be easy for the audience to understand. In addition, the voice actor of Kenji does good job. He can play Kenji naturally.

  • sad fantasy

This is a fantasy film that describes the heartwarming mingling of the android which has a genuine feeling and a human girl. Edward is an android who was produced by an inventor. However, the inventor died suddenly, so he is left alone with metal scissors for hands. After that, a kind saleswoman, whose name is Peg, takes her home with him. In her home, he sees the picture of her daughter, whose name is Kim, and he falls in love with her.

Edward is really pure and admirable in spite of his hands are metal scissors. Johnny Depp can play this android nicely. Immediately after Edward comes to Peg's house, he is a general favorite. He makes an effort to bring joy to Kim and other residents of the town. However, he is exiled from there taking advantage of an incident. I thought Edward was really poor because he is apt to be misunderstood by his outward appearance.

In addition, the ending is also little sad for him. I thought that there might be other ways of ending.

  • There is no accounting for tastes.

This is a love romance of a man who believes the fated love and a woman who doesn't believe it. One day, a new hire, whose name is Summer, comes to the greeting card company where the main character, whose name is Tom, works. He falls in love with Summer when he sees her for the first time. After that, they hit it off together because they like same music.

First, I think that the framework of this film is so novel because this story goes forward with going up and forth for 500 days of Summer and Tom. Some people may feel this framework is interesting, but the other people may feel this is difficult to understand. The judgment will depend on who the person is. Second, the acting of the two main characters is good. The actor who plays Tom can express well the miserable man who is turned around Summer's finger. The actress who plays Summer also can act the little devil of a woman who behaves as she wants.

Frankly speaking, I couldn't quite understand what the director wanted to convey through this film because the ending was incomprehensible for me. So I want to see this film again after a while in order to understand the good points of this film.

  • the miraculous bonds of a human boy and a monster

This is a story about the bonds of a lonely human boy and a lonely monster. In this story, there is another world excepting a human world. The lonely boy loses his father by a divorce of his parent, and then loses his mother in a traffic accident. While he wanders aimlessly through the town of Shibuya, he meets a party of two monsters. After that encounter, he becomes stronger.

I'm moved by the relationship between the lonely boy and the lonely monster. They oppose each other whenever occasion arises. However, they trust each other intensely in the innermost recesses of their heart. So they want to help the companion with all his strength if he gets in a fix. Though they are not parent and child, they are bound by rigid ties as if they were real parent and child.

I think that the bond of parent and child is formed by not a blood relationship but the time which they have spent together for a long time.

  • the story that characters confront the past regret.

This is the film that describes the emotional growth of people. A woman who becomes disgusted with her depressed life starts to serve as an intern at a publishing company. One day, a senior reporter finds an unbelievable advertisement in a newspaper. The content of the advertisement is seeking a companion for time travel. The woman and the senior reporter start to investigate about it with another intern.

The main character is the woman, but the transitions of other leading characters' minds are also described closely, so I think the script is polished well by the producer and scriptwriter. All the leading characters are swayed by their past and cannot go forward. However, they start to confront the past regret and move on gradually. I'm really moved by their growth. What is particularly striking is that the woman accepts her regret and real intention and becomes stronger to get what she wants.

I think that everybody has a few regret about his or her past. It's important not to stop at that point but to make the best use of it for their future.

  • heartwarming story

This is a story about a memory of an old man in a time of war. In 1943, one boy soldier is looking for something in a dilapidated house. Suddenly he hears a noise and a door of a locker opens by itself. He enters in the locker and finds a Jewish girl in a darkness.

This film is very short, but I can understand the story line well and I'm moved by it. It is only three minutes, but that's the reason why a director turns a spotlight on a really important part and can make this film impressive. I think that the director uses the music or a sound successfully to describe the change of scenes. For example, he shows that somebody comes in the house by using the sound that a window is broken. On another occasion, he expresses the change of the times by changing from a sad music to a calm one naturally.

There is no doubt that a war is bad. I think this movie is useful not to allow our memories of war to fade away.

  • little sarcastic story

This film shows a racial prejudice or discrimination which we have unconsciously. One day a white woman misses her train because she bumps into a black man and picks up her baggage which gets scattered about on her way home. After that she buys a salad in a cafe. When she goes for a fork and comes back her seat, a strange black man eats the salad.

I was really taken in when I saw this film for the first time. Probably, the audience see it with the viewpoint of the white woman, so I think many people do like me. I like the acting of the actress who plays the white woman because she acts the role cutely. The way of filming is also great. The director gives us the crew for noticing the real situation casually. Whether the audience notice it depends on each individual. In addition, this film is made by a comic style. It's easy for the audience to accept the situation that we hold a prejudice or discrimination.

  • Regeneration of a family

This is the story that a husband and wife make sure their love and regenerate their relationship. A man lives with just his wife, but these days they don't get on very well. The man wants to do something about this situation, but he doesn't know what he should do.

I think the acting of the wife is really sensitive and great because her feeling changes completely from the beginning to the ending. She shows the change of her mind well in her look and manner. I think her change is most important factor in this film. In addition, the acting of the husband is also really nice. I could feel his kindness and love towards his wife from first to last.

The music is also nice. I feel it's beautiful because it fits each scene of this film. This music is fleeting but delightful, so I like it. I think that it's very difficult for unrelated people to become a family, but that's exactly why we feel happiness when we can understand each other.

  • Comical film

A man goes to his office by rowing to avoid a rush hour. He spends a peaceful time on his boat, but one day his nice time is plunged into a crisis. This story starts with the state of a town. I think it's good opening because the audience can understand the context of this story easily. Then the daily life of the man is described. The acting is so comical. The actor who plays the main character and the other actors play expressively, so I could enjoy watching it. I especially like the acting of the main character because he can express the transition of his feelings wonderfully by changing his countenance and his eyes. I think that a proverb, "The eye is as eloquent as the tongue." is correct. In addition, I'm pleased with the music because it can show the development of this story and the changing of characters' feelings by giving rise to change in pitch and volume of sounds. I realize that we can express the feelings of characters by many ways.

  • This is the story of black humor.

This is the story that the man who was stressed out at his place of work takes his revenge against society. I was really surprised and didn't understand what I started to watch this film. However, I was getting to understand the story. I thought that the editing was so interesting because this story started from the end. Due to this technique, the audience will become absorbed in it. To describe a shocking end at first is effective in attracting attention of the audience and making the story more interesting than describing it in regular order. The story is easy for everybody to empathize because I think everybody feels stress if he or she is in an awkward situation like the main character. In addition, I think it's good to describe the revenge simply and it's important that he doesn't speak. Because of these two good points, anyone can understand the story without regard to nationalities or human races.

  • This is the story of beautiful familial ties.

This is the story of quiet and really deep love between a girl and her father. As he leaves the girl, she continues to go to the last place she met him for a long time. I was moved by her feelings and actions. I thought that her actions showed her feelings strongly. When I started to watch this film, I felt that the music by accordion and a piano was nostalgic in some strange way. The story is heartwarming, and the music is tragic but so beautiful. When the scene is sad, the sad music is played, and when the scene is calm, the soft music is played. Therefore, I thought that the director of this film expressed many changes in mental state of the girl by changing music in various ways. My favorite scene is the last scene because the music fits this scene well, and this ending is so beautiful. I think this ambiguous ending is nice because an audience can image freely. I really recommend this film.
