Couldn't get past two episodes.
This is an insult to Sicily and its people and an insult to viewers.
These guys have no class or culture. Their interactions with the locals are cringeworthy and you can see the horror in the Sicilians having these two inflicted on them. He doesn't even ask sensible, researched questions Its not been scripted and its awkward and the locals are left as though they've just been mugged.
Winston has zero interest in the place and no homework has gone into this.
Ray Winston's Benidorm would have been more appropriate.
Its time to end these ridiculous celebrity travel shows which ate clearly now just dumbed down schedule fillers rather than well researched travel guides or explorationsl blogs.

I have quickly become absorbed with this.
The premise, the storylines, the acting all hit the mark.
There are a few potholes with the security of top representatives of each sector, just casually breezing in and out if eachother's sectors and carrying out atrocities but Hell these were the early days before Berlin was properly zipped and resourced with security.
It really was the lawless wild west with every criminal, devil and political extremist of every persuasion all roaming in a confused melting pot.
CGI is a little raw in places and not eben necessary and much of the scenes are too dark.
Nevertheless a good series.

Its a rags to riches Downton Abbey.
The new money story was indeed a widespread process resulting from the industrial revolution, the birth of capitalism and fast stock market winners.
Although lower working class elevations to such dizzying heights was rare indeed because they lacked initial capital to seed such fortune.
Nevertheless good acting, good comedic moments and plenty of upstairs downstairs skulduggery to satisfy anyone who likes English period drama.
There's a lot of silliness and behaviour that would never occur and sometimes the father's refusal to move up from his humble background starts to grate a bit as do the daughters persistent petulance with everything.
Then there's the housekeeper who seems to believe she's invincible.
The varied accents are inconsistent for such a tight nit family but lead to some great quotes such as
Her Ladyship: "What accent is that, I can't quite place it?" The mother-in-law "Its Yorkshire ma'am, it's where you're bloody living"
