Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie in Barbie (2023)

  • Barbie is not a simple live action of a timeless doll

But it is also in its smallest details, from the art direction, costumes, and any technical choice completely thought of referencing all Barbie generations and the like. A soundtrack that will take you from laughing to crying (yes, very musical moments, after all it is a Barbie movie), in addition to the hand-picked cast, Margot is impeccable and manages to express all her feelings, just with her eyes. Greta's direction and screenplay, just amazing, strong, emotional, empowering and very, very feminist, not only for the women who are already fighting for the cause, but to open everyone's eyes to a sisterhood.

Starting just like the book, without none explanation about what happened with the world, we know Ember, an underground city, we fallow the protagonists in a incredible mystery about how to left the city. It is interesting to see how the city works, and how the people lived for too many years, and the pressure for unveil the exit as fast as possible.

  • Great idea, not so bad execution

The beginning is not so bad, but after some scape rooms, start to be slow and boring, and from nowhere the plot twist comes up but is very confusing and hard to believe. At least the movie have some good deaths and nice puzzles.

  • Dolly is literally an angel on this perfect musical

Seriously already an classic christmas movie, have a perfect soundtrack, with great performances and choreographies and a consistent story with magic, mystery, have some regular characters but in general, Dolly and the protagonist hold the movie, reminded me Scrooge and still have your own originality.

I think that movie is two different movies, because the first part, sounds like a a fantasy journey of the protagonist for discover more about herself and your feelings, but the second part is about family, and when this tow things come together, stay a bit weird, but has a nice message and a emotional ending.

The movie remembers me Alice in wonderland and The wizard of Oz, but plus more and more fantastic and really really unique, I loved that universe and how they work, although not everything been explained, the journey of Chihiro is fantastic to see, have great others characters that helps the movie to be so much better and weird, anyway a perfect movie!

  • I Spit on Your Grave: The Bad Legacy

Should have this title, because this is it, they try to pass legacy now for the daughter, but all the movie is to terrible with bad performances, bad direction, bad edition (seriously why so long? 02:28 of nothing!) , bad visual effects (WTF was that head) nothing on the movie sound real, even the deaths. Only thing that save a little bit is bring back the protagonist of the original movie, was a great idea, but they didn't know how to create a great plot, it's cool the flashbacks reminded the original, but now the actress is so bad as her daughter that can't be the protagonist. Anyway just watch if you are a really fan of the franchise or at least advance the time (I did thatZzz) , but is better watch the remake and your sequels, because it is so much well done.

  • Happens too slowly

Although be the plot be too slow, the direction is amazing as well as the soundtrack, the ambience is calm and cozy. But the characters just stay staring to each other with no action, and when this happen is to late to develop something.

  • Not so bad at all

The movie show us the difficulty to get as an actor job on Hollywood, and how the people are be able to do, for to get some money, have a good story, but the actors are terrible, I didn't feel any emotion with them. The only character that save is John Vasteli , divided between show who he is or continue hidden the true from the other people and your audience. At least has a great end.

  • Epic rescue!

I loooved the violence and the reality of the movie, the direction was amazing, principally the "long take". The two characters have a great chemistry and evolution until the end. Just some drama moments didn't work very well, but all the action was perfect.

  • To much darkness Zzz

With a great tense action beginning, I thought that the movie would be like this every time, but soon, the movie start to stay slow, with some monsters, but everything dark a lot, have a great third act, but lost to much time with the runaway of the characters.
