  • DO NOT REPLICATE

After 140 minutes less in my lifetime, I'll have something to say about this.

WHAT A WASTE OF FKN TIME!

Coralie, the director tried to mingle Cornenberg«s The Fly, Scorcese's Carrie and the larger than life aura from Kubrik's 2001. All this wrapped by some Gaspar Noe's amateur copycat.

Well, Coralie didn't succeed. Why? Beacause she tried to replicate, avoiding the risk to go along with the core of the main plot, the primal fear of going old. Instead, Coralie made a mess with guts, monster and blood splatter, taking herself too serious and going berserk at the third act, wich was spposed to be epic, but it was just goofy.

Facts - Demi Moore remains a terrible actress, but in a very good shape for 61 yo (adrenochrome's users know why)
    • Quayle works as the eye candy and she was the reason for me to avoid the STOP button. Beatiful and talented.

Positive points - Hopefully, the last movie for Demi Moore.

  • Cortisol inducer

Do not see Sputnik if you're looking for a regular monster movie or if you can't stand foreign languages despite the quality of the movie. Sputnik is definitely last year's best sci-fi-horror movie, extremely underrated. A good plot, top notch CGI and a ominous creature. Well directed by Abramenko with a quietly sober acting by all cast but one must say that it was a delight to see the beautiful Oksana Akinshina (Lilya 4ever) in this kind of movie, she turned out to be a great actress as it was promissed as Lilya. Watch Sputnik without any reservation, let the cortisol flow I'll give it 8 out of 10

  • A let down

Just a pretentious, bad penned and dull movie trying to be something else (read Se7en). Mr Washington great as always in what he has to do but sadly, not enough. I can not understand this 8's from people who have seen this one, have they really seen it?. I'm not into action packed movies, as a fact that kind of cinema bored me, so for this one I was expecting a good thriller, some tension, not at all. The third act just gave the urge to hit stop, just an idiotic and unreal way for a closure. 4 stars only for the great Denzel Washington

  • Why not?

This is not exploitation, people who low rated this movie based only on its concept simply didn´t get it. I can understand that the characters or the dialogues or even cinematography must had been much better taking the horrific iconic event, anyhow it wasn´t so bad at all. Hillary Duff goes perfectly as a sweet but haunted Sharon Tate, and...please, the director did not rewrite the events for cash, he showed us what really hapend, in your face with no restrictions and wonderfully exorcise all of the horror with what could have been.

  • Bravo!!

The cinema was teen crowded, at first I guess they all went to see a new Batman entry and that in the end all of them would be dispointed with the outcome. I was wrong, the kids loved the movie and I was delighted with that. Todd Philips Joker proves that one can do a thought provoking movie with a proeminent social analysis that can have effect on kids and grown ups. Joker is a beautiful, raw and wonderfully played by Joachin Phoenix, best joker ever. Rotten society can and would create monsters out of its outskirts ostracized people, this isn´t just a movie, this is real life, in your face. Bravo!! 10 STARS

  • A giallo masterpiece

As a fan of the original 77 Argento's Suspiria I was reluctant at first, it took 5 minutes to get convinced that braiins were used to this remake. It is disturbing, gripping, haunting and superbly directed and acted. The cinematography is sober than the original for the first half of the movie but all hell breaks loose on the last quarter, and I mean literaly. Go and rent it, buy it, get haunted and enjoy it because this will be a cult movie just like the original, Argento is proud for sure

  • As a hardcore fan I know Gaspar Noé can do a lot better

Almost all of Gaspar Noé's trademark qualities are there, who like me loved Irreversible, Enter the Void or Love knows what it means, almost all of them one can see in Climax, except one, meaning. So I ask why? Climax it's a meaningless movie about a bad LSD trip and even that's not so believable as Noé's intended to, the cast sreams (literaly) amateurish from every pore and with that comes unbearable overacting. I dont want another Enter the Void or Irreversible, I was expecting a Gaspar Noe movie full of meaning about human nature, Climax is not that.

  • Not even with chips

Oh please such a waste of my precious time. Aquaman is just a boring, utterly overrated teen targeted CGI on steroids cliche collection. I rated it 4 for the echological (not so hidden) message, and for the cast of Jason Momoa, he is the perfect Aquaman but all the remain actors were there only on automatic pilot. Why do you cast DaFoe if he isn´t meant to do what he does best? I saw this with my wife and daughter, they rated it 6 only for Momo's looks, unfortunatelly is not my kind but like I said up there he is the perfect cast for this movie. Enough said, Aquaman not even with chips

  • So bad that´s not even laughably bad

If you like cliched dialogues, out-of-time poor jokes, annoying goofy characters, terrible CGI and Jason´s muscles you should watch this piece of garbage. Take The Shallows for instance, it´s a decent killer shark flick it has relatable emotions, well made CGI and...blood, now take The Meg and it seems like Nemo but less scary, that's Meg, a total faillure that didn´t worked even for my 13 yo daughter. 1 out of 10 just because one can´t give a ZERO

  • Thank you

I was born on 1973 and as most of the europeans all I know about the Vietnam War was from movies or some other documentaries but this masterly made documentary was groundbreaking showing every possible angle of this terrible piece of world history. It made me angry, terrified and often on the edge of my seat and always mesmerized by the amount of real footage and accurate political investigation and emotional testemonies from both sides. Ken Burns and Lynn Novick did not made a documentary about war, they made a monument against war.

Once again, thank you for this masterpiece

  • Just plain stupid

Raw, gritty, intelligent, this was Sicario from Villeneuve.

Emotionless and full of giant plot holes, bad acted and penned by a brain on steroids, this was Day of the Soldado (the title doesn´t make any sense). Nothing makes sense here, it's just macho talk scene after scene, explosions and unnecessary violence for dumb cheering... Just stupid That was 2 hours of my life that I´ll never get back.

  • Braindead trash

Scene after scene just explosions and hollow dialogues that were meant to be funny but they´re not. This montage of CGI with idiotic dialogues serves only for bucks, it´s not made for cinephiles not even for comic collectors like me. Avengers: Infinity War is dull, not funny, extremely artificial and definetely extremely boring, btw I love Marvel universe since I was a child but this is not Marvel, its garbage

  • Better than Valium

Watch this dull if you have troubles to fall a sleep, trust me, its way better than any other drug. It starts with a good premise on a real problem but soon it all morphs in a dull-slow paced- scareless- over the top acting mess. Maggie Q does her part effectively but the remain cast seem like they were taken out of the Muppet Show. Terrible acting. All in all a two stars rating for Maggie Q´s performance, and for my afternoon nap.

  • DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!! Childish and utterly overrated tv show

8.8 it´s a bad joke only made possible due to a strong campaign from Netflix´s payed critics. This show is teen targeted but it doesn´t have to be this childish, full of one dimensional characters, hollywoodian cliches and absolutely predictable. Great movies came from Spain last two decades, movies that haded new blood and somehow redifined some genres like horror for instance, REC. is a good example , Abre Los Ojos or La Comunidad, even some spanish directors as Amenabar, Almodovar or Alex de la Iglesia are top notch movie makers. This show break with all the good that was done in recent years in Europe and is just trying to pair with american productions that are way superior like Prison Break. Three episodes after, three hours of my life that I will not get back, what a let down. Thumbs down 2 out of 10

  • Absolutely gripping

This event had great media coverage not just in the USA, in Portugal we had the opportunity to follow the siege on TV. I had 20 yo by that time, more or less the same age of most Branch Davidians, I followed it on the news and I can tell that this event stayed with me for all these years as one of the most dramatic and horrible things I have ever saw. I tried to watch the mini series but it´s not as gripping as this amazing documentary that doesn´t take sides and efficientely show us both sides with real people and real emotions and that can not be paired by any tv show. This is a great work from everyone involved and not an easy task for sure to bring up all of this memories with the survivors. Congratulations not just for the superior work but also for one thing that remains after two days of watching the doco, its a doubt...

  • Ice vs Fire

I remember this Winbledon finals like it was last month, what a great mach it was between two iconic tennis players, maybe two of the most unforgettable sportsmen ever. Two men, two opposite personalities, one great match, one thrilling drama well directed by Janus Metz and masterfully played by Sverrir Gudnason and Shia LaBeouf as the opponents, still I have to mention Stellan Skarsgård, the man simply doen't know how to act bad in a movie. After you watch this one you'll go and search for the real game on Youtube, you wont regret it for sure. 8 out of 10

  • Finally, the Wolverine nailled me

What a ride! All my life I was an X-Men and specially a Wolverine comic fan, and than came the not so great Bryan Singer movies, what a let down for a comic fan in my oppinion. One after another just giant flops that made me doubt if the movies were so bad or if it was just me getting older..until I saw Logan What a raw, full of rage power riding it was, Logan has all the elements a great action packed movie must have, great performance by the main actors and a wonderful surprise with this girl Dafne Keen, she's got what she needs for a great future in good roles. Logan nailled me definettely, I doubt one can see a movie like this any time soon 9 in 10

Ok, Wonder Woman its funny, good entertainment and...Gal Gadot. Not much more besides the eye candy landscapes and well done CGI's. It's heartless and empty of carachters depth, the editing its poor and the screen writting was all about jumping from one big scene to another. This is not enough to be considered one of the best super hero movies ever, not even a 2017's greatest, no way. Al and all, dont believe the hype, its all about DC's lobbying

  • A masterpiece

Mother! will stay with you not just for the strong visual concept or Jeniffer Lawrence's overwhelming performance but mostly for its duality reflected in its bi-polar ratings and reviews. Mother! it's that kind of movie, it' an unstoppable train if you'll step upon it, almost unbearable sometimes, gruesomelly metaphoric and intelectually defiant. Food for brain and it will stay with you for sure.

  • Smells like teen spirit

This is what I call an underrated film. Beautifully shot, strong performances by these two wonderful juvenile actors and obviously that Kevin Bacon just don't know how to deliver a bad performance. Jon Watts made this movie with passion and most probably with some classics on his mind, Cop Car kind of reminds me Stand by Me (1986) which is a great achievement. Enough said, 6.4 its a joke for such a pleasant flick. A must see '8'

  • So much light for such a dark event

Director Peter Maitling delivered us this bright and full of hope piece, instead of the expected dark and serial killer centred documentary we get to know the ones who really matter, the heroes, the ones who survived and helped the injured ones to survive putting their own life in real danger.

Social media and news broadcasters should learn something with this way to deliver a message or to do things. when this terrible things happen the message should carry not the gore in it but the good that came out of it. Beautiful. '8'
