Watched the show and it is an okay episode, being an Odd Couple fan (and this came on right after the Odd Couple) it was cool to see Archie Hahn and Bernie, both on the Odd Couple. He needed time alone and a subplot (sort of) was the writers and that ilk, trying to slip in that the 99 percent of the parents don't know how to raise their children and some fool that writes a book does, never meeting each and every student. And you all wonder why we are where we are.
Newhart should have over ruled this, being a Catholic and relativity conservative like others do.
But it was a typical Newhart show, him studdering (like Rickles says in interviews) and Emily say Bob, Bob, Bob in her high pitched voice.
But I'd you are nostalgic, like me, hopefully you can put up with the "70s" things.
