*I have watched this film many years ago and awarded it a 7/10 based on the reason that while I enjoyed it, some of the jokes felt a little tired although it was still a classic Leslie Nielsen film. After watching it again very recently with my entire family, I want to re-evaluate my score and increase it to 8/10 as while I agree with my original comments, I still feel my first score was too harsh considering the laughs and experience this film provides.
This film's poster proudly declares that it provides "Mostly New Jokes" so I get that there is the odd recycled joke here and there as well. It is not the best comedy of 1994, but it is still a classic Leslie Nielsen experience with some great laughs.

I used to love reading all those colourful books of 'Goosebumps', a series of children's horror novels written by American author R. L. Stine, when I was young and there were some of the only books I would re-read constantly. So, when this TV series was starting to be aired on 'Fox Kids' and 'Jetix', which were TV channels during my childhood, I was over the moon!
The TV series did not disappoint, in fact the episodes only served to re-kindle my childhood fascination with R. L. Stine's horror series. It is a shame that children and young adults do not read as much as they used to do back in my day, which might account for the abysmal standard of writing on social media, but I have the fondest memories of both the 'Goosebumps' book and TV series and I want to express my gratitude for all those who made their creation possible.

Rick Moranis and Tom Arnold star in this charming but slightly unsubstantial family comedy which seems hard to find nowadays. The story tries to shed light on the effects of bullying on both the predator/s and the 'victim/s', not just at childhood stage but also at adulthood when the bully and victim have their own families.
The only problem with it is that you have the feeling while watching this film is that it could have been something greater with a more and visionary director on board, especially when I compare it to the massive commercial sensation that is 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid', the comic-style book series by Jeff Kinney which was adapted as a film in 2010.
I think that 'Big Bully', which featured some renowned stars in the 1990s, was a massive commercial disappointment for sure as very few people know about it nowadays. It says a lot that two of this films stars, Rick Moranis (who plays the part of David Leary) and the stunning Julianne Phillips (Victoria) have not appeared in a live action movie for more than 25 years shortly after this film was released.
While it does have its own peculiar charm, 'Big Bully' just reeks of missed potential. It is great for the kids as you could say that there is a touching metaphor on the subject of bullying, but I would not go out of my way to find a copy.
