  • THOR - LOVE and BLUNDER

THOR Love and Blunder...I mean Thunder (I guess).

I'm just gonna sum up the movie with this metaphor. You go to your favorite fast food restaurant. You order the XXL cup of your favorite beverage.

They pack it to the gills with ice and you can see all that sweet liquid sugary goodness cascading down all those cubes; looks so refreshing.

Then you get distracted by whatever and you come back sometime later....take your first sip and nearly gag because it's not the happiness you expected. Its not that sweet yuuummy yuuummy yuuummy that you paid for. It's completely watered down. Yep, that's what this movie was.

Oh, you swish the cup around and you get a couple of good sips, but man, this watery one just gets on your nerves.

This movie should have been sliced up in six episodes and put on Disney+ right after the Ms. Marvel series. The disappointment reminds me of Men in Black International, which coincidentally has the same two costars/ I like the classic Thor we started off with. Then Ragnarok gave us comedy Thor, which was fine (I guess) because he was still KewL. But, this movie they tried the same formula and it didn't work....even some of the same slapstick Ragnarok scenes. More so, disappointment about a few things that I expected to occur, but didn't--sad.

The trailer made me think this going to be at least a fun movie to watch. The Guns and Roses Sweet Child of mine took me back to the echos of Led Zeppelin Immigrant song in Ragnarok and that got me pumped up for this movie. Sadly, it did not translate well for me in appliacation. When you go, try to sneak in some crackers because a lot of cheesy jokes are going to be served during the movie.

You remember in school when you had all semester to write your term paper and now it's due tomorrow and you haven't even started?

So now you gotta throw something together real quick...that's what writing in this story kinda felt like and

I feel in some way about Marvel serving me this Golden Corral dish inside a Ruth's Chris restaurant.

  • Val Kilmer look alike plays Elvis

When I watched this I could only think Butler looks more like Val Kilmer in Top Secret than Elvis. And when he sang are you lonesome tonight I saw Top Secret in my head. All laughable. The director had awful direction in the 1st 1/4 of the movie. It played out with cut scenes and was rushing to try and show what inspired Elvis to be who he is/was. I think they should have explored this more than do a super rush job and then have him in his HS to GI to Movies to Death. Hanks portrayal of the COL is laughable. In fact you almost like this dirt bag but if anyone knows it was him who killed Elvis.

The injection of modern rap music into the songs of that era was horrific. The whole point of Elvis is to listen to Elvis and all the music of that era. I would have enjoyed BB KING songs, The Little Richard performance was fantastic.

It is not a 10 but a good 6 or 7 and watchable for any Elvis fan.

Horrible writing but good FX. The crew is once again undesirable and you want the Devil's to win and take back the earth because of the this piece of fodder writing. You will find yourself wondering doing something else and just listen to this show as back ground noise and still no miss anything. SMH.

  • Just horrible writing

This episode and so far the show is very disappointing. The char is not likable and the writing is just awful. Who in their right mind would bring the one item that villain is looking for into the villains lair. Thinking oh yeah I can protect it for being taken. NO Just stupid. I already grow tired of Steven avatar and would like to see more MK and less of everyone else. The Knonshu is not even likable. I was hoping that the jackals would kill all the heroes (Steve/Marc, Layla, anyone else).

The only good thing is that it ended and now we are in Egypt. Well 2 in and lets hope the last 4 gives us something to look forward too.

  • The failed project

Though entertaining the movie falls short of anything more than a 5/10.

Everything is studio fx. The sciFi of the lightsaber (lucasfilm probably gets a % for everytime LS is mentioned), ships, stormtroopers (another SW rip-off), to the pod racing. OMG this is a cheap version of the Phantom Menace. SMH.

Okay it is not that bad but it could have been so much more. The young adam (Walker Scobell) is funnier than the older adam (Ryan Reynolds) but outside of that the story was as it flowed. If it was not for the SciFi action you would lose interest quickly.

  • Most realistic BATMAN to date.

This BATMAN is epic. The city of Gotham is more to a real city than any BATMAN movie to date. It has a historical inner city but the actual city is modern. BATMAN does not have any fancy over the top gadgets but things that a normal adrenal junkie would use. So this makes him more realistic IMO.

The Riddler is nobody. Yet he is somebody. He is anybody. He has a superior deviant mind but outside of that he is just like you and I. So he makes the perfect villain. His plans are fantastic and his riddle though not overly difficult but challenging. He KILLS and does it well. This is his story and the writes have done an excellent job. Compared to all the other movies to date this is a 10 because I see that it could happen. (Terrorist strike).

Now there is some whatever moments but that never detracts from the movie.

I say watch it but have an empty bladder for it is 3 hours long and you do not want to miss this non stop action detective comics movie.

  • Why a 5

Out of all the BW movies that have been coming out this one is at about a 5. The movie as a whole is 4 but the acting is decent, the story is meh. I know many are saying oh not another BW movie..pass. Well i decided to give this one a shot and though BW does cameos only all the other actors actually can act so if you want a slow paced, crime drama, who done it and we know who i say give it a watch.

The acting is meh but the scenery is fantastic. So woke this show is that I just kept laughing at the fodder of it all. If you are into thinking women are equal to men then this show is for you. However, reality is that during this time women were either nuns, wives or whores. Nothing more.

  • Not Hawkeye

The 1st ep is disappointing. Hawkeye has so much to offer yet Marvel/Disney decided to go woke and make it more go this girl in the 1st episode. There is no need for massive character development just some introductions.

The musical made me nauseated which i believe is what it was suppose to do. The rest of the story has yet to be anything more than bad guys stealing stuff at a high society auction. This 1st ep reminds me of Die Hard in some ways and I hope it does not end up that way.

The intro had some Avengers movie sequences which made you watch it but after that down hill to flat.

Let's hope Ep2 is better but I fear it will be drawn out and boring until the last 10 to 15 mins.

This is taking almost exactly from the tv series leverage.

The chars are not as good and the story is meh.

The story and everything else is all over the place. Nick Cannon tries to be funny but is not and The other actors are just bit fillers. If you liked Leverage you may consider watching this but you will be left a bit disappointed. This should be a made for TV not a movie.

  • 30 mins in and all rehash. BORING

This is pilot sucks. Nothing but a rehash of the movie series and to show how much of a fool Loki is and how diminishing of a god he will always be.

The 3 mins clip of him being DB Cooper was flat. Those who are saying this is great 10/10 must be on drugs.

Yes it is better than Falcon and the Snowman (I mean Winter Soldier) but still it could have been so much better.

Why waste so much time doing a rehash. Answer: Because they do not have a story that is good and need to drag it out over more episodes.

This is a horrible film. NC acting is the why this is a horror films. You cringe and shriek at everything he does and says.

Even for 1988 this is a low class, low budget film.

  • Not impressed

    1. The FX is good but the superman actor looks animated. 2. Acting is good 3. WTH writers. To have Superman spaceship still in the barn after all these years? You would think you have a brain and would realize that it would be at the fortress not on the farm. You are already grasping for some type of story flow.

Selling the farm is a bit of a stretch but I accept that after Martha dies.

Nope this is another WOKE POS TV show on the SW.
