Going into this mini-series, I was wary of the tropes of the genre and its tendency to dwell into mindless jingoism at a mass level - What surprised me most was this show's flawless commitment to tell a story that matters and continue to focus on it. The story brings into account the human cost of war and the bravery that men find within themselves, sometimes almost magically, to do something that defies reality. This is a tight, well paced story with elements of war neatly weaved into what is a human story of perseverance, strength and in the end, bravery. Barun Sobti is fantastic and so is pretty much every cast member, from a tone as well as look perspective. Was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this show and at ~2 hours, it just hits the spot. Highly recommended.

In an era of being connected all the time, what are the connections that really matter? Do we really communicate anymore? Are affairs of the heart really meant to be understood by the limitations of the logical mind?

DILLOGICAL takes on these interesting questions in a refreshing, light hearted and yet relevant way by telling us the story of Saransh and Jinal, the poster-perfect couple going through what they think is just a rough patch, and their simple minded attempt to reinvogorate things by 'opening' up their relationship. As we learn more about them, we are joined by their OG gang from Baroda: Umang, Sana, Diksha and Anunay as they take a trip to Daman to be a part of Anunay's sister Sakshi & Sharman's destination wedding. With layers of friendship and history, we see their attempts to make their relationship work as friends and family slowly come to terms with their newfound arrangement, impacting every last ceremony of the wedding. I enjoyed the music, the cast and the chemistry, which made me go back in time. It's a fun binge-watch with its heart in the right place.

The plot: Newbie Constable Mandaar Ghorpade, nick-named Girpade, follows his father's footsteps and joins the police force as a lowly constable. His aim is to hunt down the mythical thief Phenyl Mohan who is a master of disguise, on his own personal mission to cleanse society. But in Girpade's way stand the petty but often complicated troubles of Mumbai's privileged as the portly lower-middle class cop has his wits at his disposal to navigate the urban cultural swamp of the rich - one hilarious case at a time!

With 10 eps, the show takes time to take us into this world, ambitious and relatable at the same time. With a world like this, what surprises one is the emotional depth of the characters and the camaraderie they build over the series. The cast is well rounded, the jokes work for the most part and when they don't, you smile thinking, hey I love these guys anyway :)
