  • It's obvious that the show doesn't know where it's going

I think it's fairly obvious this doesn't go anywhere. The premise is good, reminds me of those amateur stories in "no sleep" subreddit. But the show strongly suggest that the mystery won't surpass the premise. Most of the dialogues are there to break tempo, to deliberately postphone answers and interactions between characters don't go anywhere. You could basically skip all the dialogues and don't miss anything. Moreover, the show fails to even ask interesting questions or introduce original characters. The tension is often broken with pointless and cliché emotional releases, dumb drama or badly written back stories. More and more unrelated mysteries are introduced to try to keep us intrigued weekly but overall it's clear those mysteries will be forgotten by the writers after couple of episodes.

To me, the writers only pitched the first couple of episodes and got a green light. Even they didn't think it through where the stories should lead and most of the side arcs begin and end because of idiot plots.

This is going to be a second Lost trauma for us and at least Lost disappointment wasn't this obvious. I hope they prove me wrong.

    PS: The kid is insufferable.

    Nothing new.

Nice animation, nice animation, suspense, giant spiders or bugs, violence, violence, everyone dead

    Seriously, almost all episodes.

What's up with space bugs lately? I mean, the animations are top notch but maybe hire a writer guys?

  • Disappointed

Acting is brilliant but the text and scenario is missing and characters are unbalanced. None of these needs to be perfect if it's a personal story which as I understand, Minari is which begs the question, why this cinematography?

You can't shoot a personal, intimate story with this kind of an impersonal cinematography. The space was wasted.

I was waiting for this film, disappointed.

  • Excellent premise

There are some brilliant concepts here, but the kids are insufferable. They stupefy the whole story. I genuinely think this kind of movies use children to simplify plots because there is always a kid who does something stupid.
