Horror should be felt inside from the story we are watching. It shouldn't be forced on with obvious sounds and jump scares.
People may like it if they watch movies once a month and horror movie, once a year. For a regular movie viewer, this movie is absolute childish. To break down my above comment
1. The flashback itself won't establish any strong connection with the story so with audience, absolute childish back story. Asvins, demon from underworld, fate of the world in the hand of a kid. No excuse, simply worst.
2. Camera work is absolute pathetic. We can easily see the production mistakes adding to that, camera work doesn't sync with situation and it is just to scare you. If you see something that's not required, you absolutely will feel disconnected. That green lit shots, we don't know why it's green, may be director choice.
3. Very bad acting, I blame director not the actors. You can feel the overaction because of the out of sync situations for the story.
4. Production design is okay. Ending shots with demon, garbage.
5. Direction? Producer got money to invest and he somehow managed to spend it.
7. Sound design was absolutely fantastic and copy routine. Obviously ghosts will scare you with sounds and will have fun.
6. Horror is nowhere. He stitched bits and pieces of old acclaimed horror movie shots and mashed in this movie. Villian looks like sand wraith and she obviously looks like our beloved ghost from japanese and thai. All elements are borrowed, starting from footage, color pallet, jump scares, camera movements except for last 30 mins, that's pure 1990 Indian.
If you like jump scares and lady in back dress and black long hair covering her face, obvious ghost sounds and a very obvious plot, you might like it.

As many of the negative reviews above, this is not a movie to get entertained to feel bored. This is just a showcase of a kind of abuse and this is a movie not documentary to show different kind of abuses in 2 hours time. Coming to story, this showcases the thoughts transition from phase to phase for a women and a husband who thinks that it's okay to abuse cause he got to deal with his vocational pressure on daily basis and still loves his wife. Is he a bad police? No. Even a good and respected person at work can be a very bad family man. If you look into the characters deeply then you will enjoy the film thoroughly. Characters are well written, story line is well thought and executed inspite of minor offshoots here and there for entertainment. Introspection is very important after watching this film. "What we do is not we think we are doing". That slap and sorry is a excellent scene straight out of real life modern day scenarios. Bus stop scene transition was fabulous. A movie for newly weds and abusive partners, which of coarse they do because they love you sooo much, like Ravi.
It's a very decent movie for psychopaths out there. It has that substance that really suites the palate of psychopath and sadist. Those gorge bloody cutting scenes. Intense killing. Blood splashing. If you are a dexter you really gonna enjoy this. Above all, it's not always the good things that prevails. It proves that bad things sometimes are good.
If you go deep into the psychological aspects of this movie, though there was no reason why anyone would want to kill someone without a reason, even psychological trauma makes a reason, it is so good to see that boy killing those people for our entertainment.
Kudos to the scrip writer. He proved, why we must kill and then talk to something that is alien to us and shouldn't forget the Jesus gift there. He should have shown how much Jesus miss them in Sunday church.
