Honestly all of these 1 star reviews are silly. This is a mid action movie with decent acting. It is mostly shot in a single location setting so that probably kept production cost low, but it doesn't be any means look cheap. The special effects for the explosions and vehicle chase scenes are legit, the fisticuffs are pretty good in most of the scenes. The majority of the cast are non-American actors I have never seen before or only in small roles. Probably missing a few countries, but its a mix of Australian, English, Italian, Korean, and many South Africans, they all do well. Anthony Starr is a great villain, as many of us already know. Let's be real, Viola Davis is a very good actor, she is good in this movie. Something tells me that some among you reviewers don't like seeing a black woman beat the pulp out of a bunch of white men.
When this movie first came out, I saw once and kind of forgot about it. For some reason this holiday, I've been on a Christmas movie kick and I've watched so many of the same movies over and over I decided I would give this one another look. I think may have found a new Christmas classic.
Krampus is a refreshing twist on holiday movies, blending humor, horror, and folklore into an unforgettable experience. When a family's lack of Christmas spirit brings the sinister Krampus to their door, chaos unfolds with a cast of terrifying and inventive creatures.
The film masterfully balances scares and laughs, supported by strong performances and stunning visuals. Its unique mix of dark whimsy and heartfelt themes makes it a standout holiday movie for anyone seeking something beyond the usual festive fare.
It may be a little dark for some people's taste, but the violence is not too graphic and I think that makes it more palatable for people who don't normally watch horror themed movies.
