this a beautiful film. i don't understand a previous review rubbishing the film saying it was badly made? when "a bout de soufflé" came out a lot of people thought it was badly made and had too many jump cuts and now it's considered a classic. since Richard Linklater reinvented the conventions of modern male/female romance's with "before sunrise" there have been several films with similar feels to them as this, most recently Miranda July's "Me and you and everyone we know". this film is almost like anti-Hollywood film making.everything looks natural and some of the shots are very beautiful, almost like a visual poem if you will. the mix of editing styles and music in this film(it has a beautiful soundtrack from Icelandic ambient band Mum) make this film very dream like. and the film is very short( around 70 minutes i remember) witch is a perfect length as it's neither too short nor too long.it reminded me of leaving las vegas at some points(i don't know why though) and it's very reminiscent of some the early works of one of my favourite directors Hal Hartley (amature, trust, unbelievable truth). in short if your looking for a film that looks nice, sounds nice, and has meaning behind then i highly recommend it. i mean i've never written a review before but considering my distaste for a previous review i feel justice needs to be served in the name of true art.
