Highlighting drag queens and breaking gender norms all over the show, Capitol Hill tells the story of Roses Smell, a refugee from the hellscape that is Portland Oregon.
Now, I'm not an American, but even I've managed to gather how most Americans think of Portland, and this is probably one of the funniest recurring gags, purely because of how simple it is.
Roses is one of the most beautiful women in the series' universe, despite of, or perhaps because of her bald head and neatly trimmed beard.
This show takes the classic story of a small-town country girl moving to the big city and shoots it through a big campy filter.
The faux soap opera style and campy, over-the-top acting may put some off, but for me, this series couldn't be funnier.
