The review by dtacinelli, who gave this film 10 out of ten points, is ridiculous. Obviously he is somehow involved with the production of the film.
It's a cheap small production with a very small ensemble. It looks amateurish from minute one. And when the professor states that he is an alien from Alpha Centauri, the film loses every bit of seriousness.
The whole background story about the motives of these aliens is turbid and illogical. The end is disappointing like in many films that had no idea how to finish the story.
What dan-162-268581 wrote about the special effects in the car is absolutely right. The effects were totally outdated and primitive. The whole production looked very amateurish. And it's way too long.
I give it a rating of four out of ten.

It's always very suspicious when a film like this has a high rating by very few people. And like I expected: A terrible piece of film, made by a bunch of twelve-year-olds with a digi-cam.
The special effects are ridicilous. When the main guy starts to change into a crab monster, he's wearing a plastic glove in the shape of a lobster claw.
Another guy gets his left hand ripped off. The special effect: He pulls the sleeve of his shirt a bit downwards to pretend that the hand is gone.
There are lots more scenes like this. You don't know if you should laugh or cry.
And please: remove this fake ratings!

I'm watching films every day, always looking for new, surprising and amazing stories. Most of them are just a waste of time, no doubt. But from time to time I discover a true pearl among them. Like this one! I didn't expect much, but the rating of 6,3 made me curious. And what a surprise! A cheap little indie movie with almost no budget and no special effects that was so gripping and thrilling! It avoided a few typical turns of the story that you could have expected. Instead the characters showed some development that I didn't see coming. Maybe a little bit too much development in the case of Marvin (Patrick Day) to be absolute believable. But this little flaw is nothing compared to most other films.
Good acting, original story and just enough humour. Watch it!
