Enough with the high Valerian garbage. It's like watching a dubbed B-movie. While a few lines here and there are fine, this whole episode is drenched in this awkward, random, made-up language. The actors look like they hardly relate to what they're saying.

And sure there was a bit of action in the last episode, but could the plot actually be any more dreary? And when will Rhaenyra ever do something? Anything really instead of just hiding behind everyone else. This series has so much potential, but 9 out of 10 times the curtain is pulled down right before something interesting happens. Reading extremely positive reviews on here feels Black Mirror-y.

The storyline is fine, everybody loves a shark movie - but you need a few characters you care about for it to work. And this movie actually has that, but the main character... wow, that's just cringey, and it ruins the whole movie. She doesn't come across as particularly resourceful and skilled at sailing or diving, and frankly... isn't that kind of the premise of the film? Ghenea is incredibly beautiful, and I have no doubt she's a stunning model, but this movie is more or less gratuitous shots of her features - and it just becomes cringey. If she can act, the director failed her miserably.

I looked her up, and can see that she had a cameo as Sophia Loren in House of Gucci. Now, that's a part I could actually see her rock, because it goes well with her femme fatale appearance.

Watch The Shallows instead for a female lead shark movie that's actually worth watching. Or even Crawl with the sharks being substituted for alligators instead.

Very interesting topic - poor presentation. That's my take on the documentary itself.

As for Natalia, I'm getting Beth. Thomas (the psychopath child) vibes. In case you lived under a rock, Beth Thomas was interviewed as a child about wanting to hurt her baby brother and other people around her. She of course wasn't a psychopath, but a deeply traumatized child who'd gone through unthinkable abuse.

I think Natalia has gone through similar atrocities, and it could easily explain her seemingly inappropriate behaviour with other kids and even adults. It's heartbreaking really. And all of those people at the first place she was abandoned were soooo eager to distance themselves from that miserable child in dire need of help that they failed to care for anyone but themselves. Wow, they come off as despicable human beings. At least the documentary portrays them very accurately as such.
