For very few movies, the sequel is as good as or better than the first one. I think this movie is one of those.
13 years have passed since Avatar (2009) and the main protagonist - Jake Sully - is now the head of Pandora forest tribe (Omaticaya). He has formed a family by now bearing children with his beautiful wife Neytiri. They have been living peacefully in the forest all these years but it does not last long.
Will Jake and his family survive the catastrophe? Is there a new strategy this time? Where will they go? Who will they meet?
This movie is like watching a beautiful painting on the big screen. Not just VFX (which are incredibly beautiful) but the overall impact in storytelling including the music is just amazing.
This is easily a 'movie of the year'.
Must watch in IMAX 3D.

Another masterpiece after Katyar Kaljat Ghusli, "Mee Vasantrao" movie is based on the real life events of Vasantrao Deshpande - one of the greatest Hindustani Classical Vocalist.
His grandson - Rahul Deshpande - always dreamt of making a biopic on his late grandfather and his vision finally came true.
This movie is an epic musical journey of one man, and the various hardships he faces before catching his big break at one point in his life. This journey must be experienced on the big screen.
Great acting, direction, editing, music (of course!). If you are a fan of Indian Classical music / Natya Sangeet or you just want to see the journey of a great personality, this movie will be a blessing for you.
Even if the movie is 180 minutes long (yes, you heard it right!) you'll never feel it that way because it is so captivating and increases your curiosity at every moment - "What happens next?"
The movie has a strong message for all kinds of artists and musicians.

The movie is good, nice message! Today's generation should watch this movie so they will know 'what mistakes not to do.'
I can see why many people hate this movie because they think it is a sequel to Dombivli Fast. It is not a sequel at all!
Many people may not have even understood it properly because the message is conveyed in a completely different way than the first movie.
In short: 'Dombivli Fast' conveyed the message in a straight-forward manner, linear, putting the problems directly in front of the audience. While 'Dombivli Return' conveys the message in a dynamic and different way, keeping the audience surrounded by constantly changing and fast-paced storyline and scenes.
I won't spoil it here but such pacing and direction makes sense and you will also feel the same, if you have watched and understood the movie 'Inception' 😉 You will come to know about this at the climax of the movie.
'Dombivli Fast' was amazing, no doubt, but this one is also nice if you get what the movie is trying to say.
Yes, they could have cut short some songs and scenes in this one, but I think they wanted to portray the 'changed lifestyle' hence kept this stuff. The end message is really good. Many did not watch the movie till the end I suppose.
The subtle editing techniques, transitions and sound design used in this movie is really nice from an editor's perspective.
Everyone who did not like this movie much as compared to Dombivli Fast, I would suggest them to watch this one again to better understand it 😃
