You can see that the quality of the animation dropped significantly when compared to the first season. They use so many static frames and the backgrounds are carelessly drawn. For example when the charecter move, most of the time just the char has some animation while surroundings stand still. The trees, especially, have few details. The burning, the worm's body, the magma, all are drawn very simple manner. Even the actions dont give as strong feeling as in the manga or as in season 1.
Luckily, the story is good, the goofiness is there and make it watchable. But not awesome.

I like the manga and do think that It has a potential of a very anime adaption.
Unfortunately, none of the best things from the manga was carried over to the anime.
The anime might have some wins, but it won't be long if current adaption continues.

- The animation is so so, not too bad but not good either. They should consider another styling instead of current one.
- The pace was fast pacing which makes impossible for the viewer to know and feel the character. Anime is different from manga where user can stop, read slow and feel the character.
- The humour, which is the strong point of the manga, some landed well, but most landed badly.
- The dialogs should be fixed to match with the conversation type. More atmospheric should be added to the conversation, currently they are too cheesy.

The person who was reaponsible for casting that female lead should be fired. How was it possible to have done such a miscast like this.
The actress, has no skill in expressing sympathy to anything, which makes it impossible to understand, sympathize or be on her side. The whole time, the male actor with his excellent acting skills carry the movie. If it is not for his actings and also for some other casts, it will be not easy at all to continue to watch.
I almost stopped twice because of how bad that female lead was. Luckily, right when I wanted to stop, something jnteresting came up and it kept me hooked.
6/10. It should have been 8 if anyone other than that actress to play the female lead. Personally I think Zoe Saldana is the perfect fit.
