This show harkens back to when TV was good, wholesome, entertaining and light-hearted. The characters are fun, and relatable, and the story line is that of The Love Boat, 911, and The Rookie type of shows---where there is always something going on, some problem to fix or remedy. I found it very enjoyable and refreshing during a time when there is so much bad TV out there... with so much sex crazy, horribly violent or just plain inappropriate content.
The bad reviews are from a lot of miserable people, who have become numb to what could be a nice and entertaining show without all of the usual ick or agendas.
Watch for yourself and definitely pay no attention to the jaded, negative reviews!

It's really hard to get behind a film that doesn't have a lot of meaning, or even a little back story. Yes, there are things that can be left to the imagination....and Of course there is the overall theme/ point that the filmmaker was trying to convey... war is terrible and terrible things happen during times of war etc...But everything was so vague, there was no real explanation of the purpose behind certain players in the film. Except for the photographers, but the reason why the fighting ensued, and what led up to it, would have been great to include in the movie. It was such a disappointment, because they had a wonderful cast, but the storyline was extremely weak and that is very unfortunate. I can't say I would recommend this film to anyone, and the 7.1 rating is quite deceptive.
I bought this movie on Blu-ray for 75cents on clearance at Big Lots. And even at that price, I still paid too much, it was not worth even that. This was a very poor attempt at telling a story based on important and pertinent themes and standards which pertain to some of the issues our current society is dealing with. If the movie were written and scripted better, it would have been very good. The actors casted were not horrible, but this movie fell short in so many other areas, that disappointing does not even fully sum up what I felt after having watched it. It truly was a shame, because there was so much potential.
