The first movie had so many illogical and dumb moments, so many plot holes that I simply couldn't understand how lazy or blind the director was.
The second one maybe does have some dumb moments too, but not nearly as many as the first one or not as bad.
At least you understand characters' actions and reasoning and people have common sense, unlike the first one. Well, it's a different director this time, who does consider what the viewer will see and what questions they might ask. And doesn't need to use dumb actions to advance the plot.
It was a pleasure to watch the second one, unlike the first one where characters' dumb actions were simply making me furious.

"Losin' It" is a fun movie about teenagers and their dreams, capturing the feel of the 80s very well (or is it the 60s, since the movie is set in 60s?). It was interesting to see how people lived back then. The stories flow smoothly from one to another, showing clearly how teens are curious about things like sex, drugs, and wanting to rebel. Tom Cruise plays a shy, polite guy whose personality helps him win over a girl. Although the movie isn't deep, its strength is showing typical teenage behavior in a believable way. A mix of the 80s (or 60s) and also rebelious teenage curiosity is what makes this movie interesting for me. It also looks great in high definition.
