  • A very interesting storyline.

The story is supposedly based on a real life incident and is about a normally well mannered, quiet family man who confesses to murdering his mother-in-law, but claims not to remember anything about doing it. He's subsequently charged and stands trial for the murder and as the story unfolds, sleepwalking is eventually considered by the defense attorney as a real possibility behind the act.

I'm not going to go into judging acting abilities or how good or bad the director did in making this film, only to say that I found it quite presentable. Just for the record, any NCIS fans will get to see a young Sean Murray (Special Agent Timothy McGee) as one of the main players in this movie.

My main interest was how sleep-walking was analyzed and how, in this modern age of technology and so called understanding, we still have a lot to learn. Could be a good movie for any psychology or behavioral students and for those of us just looking to pass the time, I think it's worth the watch.

  • A Delightful Movie.

The fact that this story is based on actual events is very interesting indeed. Just remember, the premise is based on actual events of history, not the story. Whether or not this story is true matters not. The whole adventure is worth watching if you're a romantic or you enjoy a good old love story.

The idea that this could have been happening in those times is very believable. I never knew about this as being an actual occurrence until I saw the movie. What an education!

This is a great yarn if you make some allowances, so, if you don't take your history too serious, watch this movie.

  • Katie... I Think We Share The Same Thoughts On This Movie!

I've seen a lot of excellent Australian productions from the 'Squeeze A Flower', 'They're A Weird Mob', 'A Town Like Alice' and 'Tim' era, through to 'Quigley Down Under' and many more. These have my absolute 'thumbs-up' award.

Now I have to add another. 'The Proposition'. This is a masterpiece!

The storyline, the photography, the effects and, not least of all, the actors and that outstanding actress, Emily Watson, are top class. I have to warn you now, there are some graphic shots in this movie, and just in case you've never seen someone who's having his head split in two by an extremely vicious bullet or you just didn't happen to be around when someone blew their toes off with a gun (usually because they were kind of 'stupid'), be prepared for some pretty graphic stuff.

This movie, in my opinion, is absolutely EXCELLENT! Katie, I hope you were as impressed as I with this great bit of Australian performance.
