  • Interesting, Flawed and should have been a series

I really wanted Sci-fi, and I think the audience does too. Instead this is a thriller/horror movie.

This is a hard watch, Quite a few of the twists are fairly predictable and the pacing makes you agonise a little as you just want the scene over with. Glad I did not watch it in cinemas as it was good to pause going through it.

Megan Fox is able to act perfectly without personality, in a deadpan manner and play the part. The big problem is she's playing a robot and not a brainless supermodel.... Honestly her acting half works, I can believe she is a robot but we lack the robotic interpritations of what she does.

A lot of the Robotic costuming around the sims, leaves a fair bit to be desired. It's the greatest plot hole in the movie.

The entire story feels rushed. Overall I feel this would be a much more worthile series like Humans, not a movie that cannot explore the concepts it presents.

  • You like it, till you realise it's mary sue on steroids

Look there is a lot to like about this:

Very good drawing Characters with interesting backstories Surprises and twists Not everything bloodthursty combat, nor bogged down with non-combat stories...

    But

After watching it, I realised it was just Mary sue on steroids. Wow here is super powerful enemy, Oh we defeated them. Wow they are now super duper powerful. Oh we defeated them again!

Big bad enemy, wow here is suprise super power you have never heard of! Really changed it from a hit to a miss for me. Which is a shame as the story is engrosing and I did like the characters.... It's just once you realise they always win it becomes a kids show.

Also just casual sexism for no real reason. This moves it into the R18 category meaning there is no real audience for this.
