Netflix has it listed as a comedy
It stars Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow and Will Ferrell is a producer. This would normally be enough for me to run a mile, except that 1) i love Friends and 2) i was a bit desperate to find something to watch
I expected to give it about 20 minutes but watched it all in 2 days and really enjoyed it. There were enough twists and turns to keep me interested and I was wondering if they might make another season with a new storyline and characters because I would like to see what else the writers could come up with.
It's definitely worth a watch. It's one of those stories where you are pretty sure you know what's going on, and then you don't, then you think you do buuuttt then you don't again.
The only complain I have is that I'm back where I was 2 days ago needing to find something else to watch.

The first 3 seasons had laugh out loud moments so I was excited to find a show I could get a few weeks out of but quickly realised it should have stopped at the end of S3.
I've watched 2 eps of S4 and just can't get any further unfortunately. I had wondered where they were going to go with it once the kids graduated but assumed they'd introduce a new Form K class for us to love.... they didn't. And there wasn't even a "3 years later" explanation or anything. Just, suddenly there was a new storyline with some old characters and some new and no explanation as to the outcome of the bill of the characters.
I think there was a missed opportunity here.

Great story but if you're at all annoyed by less than perfect CGI and attention to detail then maybe this isn't for you. Episode 5 had me almost ready to give up. I'm not a Sci-fi fan so am not used to the plot holes, errors and other less than believable things that showed up in this series BUT, if you can look past those things. It's actually pretty entertaining.
At times I felt like I was watching something really exciting and at others, I recalled watching "Voyage to the Centre of the Earth" as a child and kind of felt like this could have, at times, been made in the same era.
I watched it because Stan had it listed as "historic", let's just say that's not completely accurate but it is a bit of fun and you never know, you might even like it.
