An excellent movie. Its pathetic that public goes gaga over silly SRK movies and doing injustice to fine movies like Yahaan. Minisha is great for her debut and Jimmy is quite charming. Very good music. I love song "Naam Ada likhna" is in class of Machis. Very nice story and screenplay. I found this movie's DVD at one of the Public library in USA and was surprised. The librarian told me that some Indian reader recommended this movie and they just ordered it. It was a treat to watch this movie. My wife liked it too. A very simple but heart touching love story going swiftly. Cinematography is superb and takes you to Kashmir.
Excellent movie. Immensely thought provoking and "hat ke type" story. Music, direction and photography are superb and acting of lead star cast is stunning. Specially Urmila did wonderful job, she got the suitable role and did it well. Ashmit impressed me. Dimple, Raj Babbar and Nasseruddin had done hundreds of such role so played their part with ease and positive impact. Super natural subject line is always hard to present but direction and script really are praise worthy. Music is very touchy and blended nicely with scenes and situations. Movie is very lucid, though slow, unlike todays funky movies. Story is gripping and dialogues related to spirituality are admirable.
This is very silly attempt by talented director like Farhan. Movie is deliberately pitted against the former original one to promote it initially and later on, different tune is sung by SRK and his media management to project it as a different movie. When SRK will come out of his stardom and will get into the skin of character? So much ado about nothing. Movie is doing business totally on media campaign and festive season. I couldn't bare this movie full so I left after 1hr. Music is too loud and intrusive sometimes. Stunts, graphics etc were upto the standards of today's film making but cannot substitute the solid performances of lead star cast.
