Great to see beautiful (the real ones and the pretenders..) at the EMMY's again.
Great tributes but the one with Aaron Spelling with the Angels is the show stealer!
I think, it's time for the EMMY to changed their trophy and mold it a'la Jaclyn Smith...the woman knows how to steal the thunder from everyone especially her co-stars. It also shows why she's still a fave in Hollywood. I don't think, there's any bad bone in her. She's just as sweet and classy as she was in the Angels show. She hasn't changed a bit. From head to toe, Smith is just smashing....!

This series has the distinction of being the only female character in this four-week cycle TV-series from ABC.
It is also one of the most rewarding ones in the company of Columbo and B.L. Stryker. It's just unfortunate, that the series didn't last longer. It interesting to know as well, that this is from the same production company/creator of the highly successful LAW & ORDER TV series -- the legendary Dick Wolf.
It's a clever concept and the idea of having a series of this kind, is a welcome medium to all the fans of this genre. Veteran actress Celeste Holm, as Smith's divorcée' mother is an absolute "scene stealer." She's funny, she's gorgeous, and she's got 7 ex-husband to count on, when she needed them -- well, just in case.
Smith is also excellent, relax and well-composed as Christine Cromwell. This is the kind of role, she's bourne to excel.

This is probably one of the best adaptation of a Sidney Sheldon's novel. Shown in 1983 as a two-part TV miniseries, Jaclyn Smith stars as Jennifer Parker, a novice New York lawyer who had to clawed her way to the top.
Book lovers of Sheldon's novels, will enjoy this adaptation. Sheldon serving as executive producer of this film, made this film like reading his book.
Smith's performance is an added plus.A capable performer, Smith is excellent as usual. Armand Assante and Ken Howard provides the love interests. Assante is excellent and Howard portrayed his role of a politician like a real one -- huge, and boring! Excellent music and Smith's never been so beautiful on the small screen. A must for fans...
