I was a bit shocked at all the good reviews. This movie was not at all what I was expecting. I thought it was gonna be a typical action movie that's expected of Liam Neeson. Wrong. This movie is just plain weird. A lot of brutal, senseless killings. No regard for life whatsoever. And then they describe it as a dark comedy? I should've known I wouldn't have liked it had I realized that earlier, but I was already halfway into the movie. I don't care for dark movies, and this confirms it. Why do they require such a large amount of characters? I don't have anything else to say. I would not recommend this movie at all.
Like everyone is saying, the lead character is so obnoxious and miserable, and it's very hard to root for her. I liked the relationship she formed with the girl from the app who was helping her. This movie had some really stupid parts, but I got to admit that it was suspenseful. BUT is anyone going to bring up the fact that the cops were absolutely useless in this movie???!?!? 😂 I know the house was in the middle of nowhere, but at one point the cops were supposed to be 20 minutes away, and I swear at least 45 minutes to an hour went by without ever seeing them. Then after the female cop shows up and leaves, someone calls 911 again and they were supposed to be 20 minutes away. Then it was announced that they were five minutes out, and at least another 35 minutes went by!! Do they think we're stupid?? And then of course after everything is over and done, then you hear the sirens. About 20 minutes in, I realized I had seen this movie before, but it was a while ago so I didn't really remember what had happened but enough. I don't need to watch this movie again.
From everything that I have watched previously to this documentary, I've always thought that Scott Peterson was guilty. But after today, I can't believe I am saying that I actually think it is possible that Scott Peterson did not kill Lacy. It was very clear that the police were only looking at Scott and did not consider any other evidence that would have proven reasonable doubt. When you watch this documentary, you can clearly see all the evidence that was withheld and it's very interesting that the LA Innocence Project is picking up his case. They don't mess around, and if they believe that there's enough evidence, think he deserves a second trial. Damn, over twenty years in prison. TO BE CONTINUED...
