As others have said, I loved the show even with the changes. Yes, I still miss Lady Felicia, Mrs McArthur, Sid and Bunty. However, Death in Paradise has revolving door actors/ characters and they seem to be able to keep the writing fresh and attract good actors. When they err, they correct. I've seen. Claudie Blakey in other things and
Enjoyed her very much. But in this she falls a bit flat. (Poor writing/one trick pony?). I gave Ruby Mae a chance but I can't deny she is not a good fit for this show. Her talents lie elsewhere but NOT here. Please Father Brown, go back to basics. Be the show you used to be!
The opening music is hauntingly beautiful. It's also predominantly featured on POIROT episode Five Little Pigs. Its a piece by Erik Satie called Gnossienne no. 1.
We loved the haunting soundtrack so much and KNEW we heard one of the the songs before. Its on Endeavour episode called GAME. It's by Eric Satie and called Gnossienne.
