  • I'm going to go blind myself with all the blindsiding going on in this series

I was skeptical at first, thinking how can a show about a society of sightless people be anything other than a dark screen and people saying "excuse me." But after the first couple episodes I was was in binge mode and enjoying it. But mid-way through the series and too many betrayals and "how did you not see that comings" (no pun intended) I'm frustrated that this is what it resorts to. It's not intriguing tv when you just spring stuff out of nowhere. Storylines should progress and develop, not run you over. That said, if this gets us to a stable place where characters naïveté and trust isn't always depressingly taken advantage of and every once in a while the good guys get a win, I might be back next season. If not, then at least include more fight scenes that I can fast forward to.

Started season 2 and through 5 episodes I'm even more annoyed by the Queen. So transparently manipulative and such an annoying voice. Add to that the scenes are shot in so much darkness that I have to black out the room to watch it and it is soooo slow, I really wish they would write/choreograph/stage their scenes with the viewer in mind. This could e better.

  • I really like this show, but don't go looking for sharks to jump.

I really like Blindspot. The tattoo puzzles provided a new perspective and is an interesting way to lead to stories that bring to life current events. The characters are badass but flawed so as to have a likeabilty factor. I have noticed that season 4 is straying away from the original formula that provided its past success. Maybe the writers were bored of tattoo stories or maybe they got feedback from a focus group, but now the villains are not as deep, Mastrantonio as Madeline Burke seems more delusional than formidable, but I like the Zapata twist even though you could see the outcome from 10 episodes away. S4 E17 has me concerned though. Lazy writing covered by "thoing the hands of the FBI" to make the story more plausible and the intro of that horrible Southern accented Colombo-esque attorney for Madeline made me want to gag. Rich Dotcom and Boston are enough quirky characters. Do better, be better and I'll remain a fan.

  • Some stuff to like but a whole lotta hatin' going on

Just binged episodes 1-3 and if I was going week by week I wouldn't have made it past week 2. I like the premise and Tracy is really growing on me. Bobby is a little much, but funny. I even like Josh. But man is Tiffany playing a hard-ass Shay. Committed to helping social causes, but cold as hell personally?! Her portrayal as a person of color and difficult upbringing who has totally forgotten the world she's now fortunate to have left behind makes it difficult to like her character or get any "come back next week" vibes. I really thought in week 3 I'd see a softening, but when the opportunity arose, thenice queen arose. I watch tv to be entertained and to escape. This show just depresses me. Come on. I'll give you one more chance with episode 4 or I'm out.
