A often repeated story overdone. Great music but picturing them is average. Dimple is over acting. Rishi is as usual. Kama Hasan is wasted. The movie did not do well and Ramesh Sippy removed ED Burman from his next venture. This was his last talked about movie what he did later is unknown.
This movie is produced by K C Bokadia and Directed by Vijay Sadanah has Rajesh Khanna the SuperStar playing a character but a leading role. He is playing father of two daughters and is tormented by Mohnish Bahl. He loses one of his daughters but manages to save the other from the evil desires of Mohnish Bahl. Rajesh Khanna has played his part reasonably well but looks old in the movie. The super Star should have taken more footage, but the climax belongs to him. See the movie, it is good- the weakness is the music of the movie- it is uninspiring and not of Rajesh Khanna's class. The production values are just okay. The young girls do their parts well.
The great Dilip Kumar used to act in a number of movies in the 1980s and these movies had him as the central character. This character overshadowed all other characters and stood tall, larger than life. The audience used to lap it up with applause and cheers. Duniya released in 1984 is one such movie, which has Dilip Kumar taking on Pran, Prem Chopra and Amrish Puri for spoiling his life. He is ably supported by Saira Banu and Rishi Kapoor. The movie has excellent music by R D Burman and is a must watch. The movie might not have done as well as it should have but is a must watch. One must see the movie to realize what a great actor Dilip kumar is.
