The first time I saw Foul Play was on You Tube during August 2024 when apartment sitting for my brother who was on vacation. After the first few minutes i became intrigued, Goldie Hawn was a delight, funny, adorable and looked great. Her role had comedic brilliance. Basically the plot centers on a young divorced librarian who gets caught up in a murder conspiracy plot and works together with a police detective played by Chevy Chase to solve the mystery. Along the way she dodges assassins, a British womanizer and a bible salesman. The atmosphere is suspenseful, musical score excellent, featuring a great cast including Dudley Moore, Burgess Meredith, Billy Barty, Brian Dennehy, Eugene Roche, Marc Lawrence, Rachel Roberts and more.
Ready To Take A Chance Again performed by Barry Manilow during the opening and end credits fit perfectly.
For fans of mystery thrillers, romantic comedy and suspense watch this jewel of a film.

Treat Williams was a very talented actor having seen him in Chesapeake Shores, Max & Helen , The Deep End Of The Ocean to name a few. Bonds Of Love tells the story of a man with a disability who falls for a woman with a tough past and how they must stand up to his family and the law to stay as a married couple. Featuring a supportive cast including Hal Holbrook, Grace Zabriskie, Steve Railsback, R. H. Thompson from Road To Avonlea, Gordon Pinsent and more.
As the film begins we see Williams character as a grown man who despite being different meets a lovely woman played by Kelly McGillis. What starts as friendship blossoms into tender love, the family including his brother judge her unfairly without hearing her side. They try everything in their power to split them up more than once. At least they had support from other family members, friends, doctor and a lawyer.
Treat's portrayal of Robbie is astounding and sensitive, in Rose he's found a friend, companion and lover, points all her good qualities. She encourages him to keep going, never to give up no matter what anybody says. At the end during the hearing there is some resolution but no proper apology for the pain caused to the couple.
For a television film based on a true story it's filled with inspiration, heart rending drama and romance.

Being a fan of Rue McClanahan seeing this movie made me laugh because it deals with life and the love of family. The whole cast did a wonderful job, Anne Bobby's performance was decent, her character is a great combo of funny, sarcasm , and full of emotion.
The plot follows a woman named Margaret who's in her early 50's that becomes engaged to a man named John who is approaching 40, what follows is a comical and crazy road to the altar as her four grown up children come home to attend the ceremony, each one dealing with their own issues.
It was a a wonderful film with a good story.
