Movies, series, and documentaries are the major things I watch. Almost daily since it's one of my hobbies and the fact that I have time enough for it. My favorite genres of movies are Horror, Thriller, Mystery and Comedy. But I do watch all kind of other genres as well. The only genre I don't watch are Musicals. Those I just can't stand them. If I start watching something I will watch it till the end, even if it's terrible, and that's to have a honest opinion for my review. The humor I like the most is sarcasm so that will reflect in my ratings. You could describe my ratings as following:
-10 stars: Excellent! I could watch it over and over again.
  • 9 stars: Almost perfect. I really enjoyed this one.
  • 8 stars: It's really good. I would recommend everything from 8+ stars.
  • 7 stars: Good. I would watch it again in the future if I had to.
  • 6 stars: It's not bad but I won't watch it again.
  • 5 stars: Just average, really nothing special.
  • 4 stars: Below average, a waste of time.
  • 3 stars: Mediocre. They made an effort but they should give it up.
  • 2 stars: It's really bad but I saw worse and that's not a compliment.
  • 1 star: Absolute garbage! I wished I never saw it and I want to sue the director to have wasted my time. A refund is not enough, I want compensation.

The things about me: Man from Belgium, living in Spain, married to an American. I speak French, Dutch and English, and understand a bit of German and Spanish. Born in '68.

  • Could be funnier but entertaining nonetheless.

Aziz Ansari wrote, directed and acted in this lighthearted comedy/romance. I enjoyed watching it but as a comedy it could have been funnier. With names as Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen I was expecting more laughs. They did well though. Keanu Reeves played the angel prefering a simple life over a life of wealth and luxury. Funny that he played that role as it fits him in real life. He's an actor that is not afraid of helping people, talking to the common people without star allures. For that we should all respect him, I do for sure. He's a simple man and a good actor. The story is pleasant to follow, but to be honest not very realistic as I think 99,99% of the population would chose wealth over poverty and daily struggle. Worth watching though.

  • A good movie that could have been scarier and bloodier.

Luc Besson already made several really good movies. This one is another more than decent one, but not his best. He already worked with Caleb Landry Jones before in Dogman (2023), a movie that I really loved, perfect for doglovers. In Dracula: A Love Tale Caleb Landry Jones did a good job playing count Dracula. The movie is very well shot. The reason I don't score it higher is because I want vampire movies being bloodier and scarier, even if this one is more a romance than a horror movie. Christoph Waltz is always good at what he does. He's a guarantee for good acting. All in all this vampire movie is a good one, just don't expect scary scenes.

  • Heartwarming sports comedy/drama.

Nice to see Woody Harrelson in something different than we're used from him. Kaitlin Olson who plays in the best comedy series ever, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, was a good choice to play his partner and sister of an intellectually disabled person (we're not going the 'r' word even though those disgusting people in the White House seem to want to change that again). Champions is a remake of the Spanish movie Campeones and they did a good job as it was certainly entertaining. It's a feelgood sports comedy/drama, which is needed to change our minds from the wrong direction the USA is going since the orange criminal took office. All the actors were great, and the story that I thought would be predictable turned out to be surprising at times. A good watch!
