I can actually survive watching movies made with consumer camcorders, but the acting and plot execution must be at least be half descent. This film meets neither of these two criteria. The poor visual acting is peered with persistently horrible dialog, I could cry. The over use of the lead actors movie names "Troy", "Lori", "Lori", "Troy" tells the tale, need I say more. I really wish I could say that this is the worse movie I have ever seen, but I would be lying. This should not be taken as a exoneration of the movie, just as a fact. Even though the storyline may read interesting (different) I would advise you to not waste your time as even the basic premise of the movie is a complete failure.

For anyone with a real objective taste in movies, including those based on terror, would know after watching hostel part 2 that it is way better than the first installment. Hostel 2 not only a better ending than the typical horror (is it really over) ending of part 1 but it also has a more consistent story line, better acting, descent lead character development and interesting plot twist. I would highly recommend this film to any fans of the handful of truly good horror/thriller movies out there such as (Saw1 and the Ring). If you watched hostel 1 and thought it was an over rated farce of a movie like I did, then watch part 2, you wont be disappointed.

Excluding all the other variables, such story line, cinematography, sound effects, music, etc, the acting within the last 40 minutes of this movie alone, is enough to categorize this movie as one of the worst films of all time. The acting was some of the worst I've ever seen. This movie had it all, repetitive lines, corny acting, extensive nonsensical unnecessary dialogue, and at least one physically unbelievable scene between the penultimate characters. During the last 20 minutes of this movie I was just suffering, waiting for the movie to end so that my final opinion would be based on the entire movie. In short this movie can't even make the grade of watch able. Disregarding genre, when I think of how bad this movie truly is Aeon Flux comes to mind. Ouch!
