  • Clair Bowen was excellent

I really liked this movie. The cast was great with Clair Bowen, Brant Daugherty, Anna Van Hooft and Karen Kruger all superb in their performances.

Clair Bowen, for me anyway, stole the show. Loved her hair, loved her voice, her expressions, and her mannerisms. I was not familiar with her from any previous roles, but hope to see her again. She had great chemistry with Brant Daugherty. He always gives a stellar performance like his role earlier this year in A Royal Runaway Romance. I also always like Anna Van Hooft and she was solid here. The mother was played to perfection by Hallmark great Karen Kruger.

I thought the speeches near the end and the final scene were the perfect way to end the movie.

Some great films this season from Hallmark, please keep them coming.

  • Great leads

Not sure why this movie is receiving such low ratings. It seems sometimes that those reviewing these movies expect big budget theatrical releases instead of made for TV movies. Most of us know what to expect going in. I really enjoyed this movie and have watched it twice now. It was well acted by the two leads and had a strong supporting cast. Hallmark should use Amanda Schull more than they do. She had a couple emotional scenes that were great. I liked the story and the new twist to the usual plot.

I watch Hallmark movies as a two hour escape from the messed up world we're in and this one fit the bill.
