I know director, Aaron Toronto pales at comparison to Knives Out, but a great referral point, the topic of how prevalent domestic violence is in asian culture goes largely uncommented upon, however that's the primary thrust of this film and does a fantastic job at stating it.
That anyone remotely associated with The League had something to do with this dreck, makes me question whether it was a good show at all. The directing is uneven, the camera work is lazy and uninspired. This isnt even good Quaratine watch material.
So the episode title is in reference to "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" a very smartly written and directed modern Noir detective story. And the director certainly swung for a Noir 'vibe' (pun not intended, but works) while the rest of the episode felt like it was both a Christian inspirational film with Lifetime holiday movie level dialog. This episode was upsetting as to how "filler" it was to make the episode order
