I don't understand the haters. This is a well written super cute teen comedy. It's fun and life affirming. No one dies, no bullets or guns, no CGI, just fun characters having one of the biggest nights of their lives. It's overdramatized and silly and over the top in the best way. The two main characters are smart and witty and cute. The supporting cast is equally as entertaining. Just enjoy it and let go my friends. Not berthing Shakespeare or marvel here. Just a fun rom com. Enjoy.
Such a beautiful and meaningful bro love story. I laughed, I cried, it became a part of my dump that day. The fact that it's based on a true story also made it even more meaningful. I've actually been to LA and every day there is just like this movie. The brilliant writers captured the essence of this rapturous self absorbed fake city that I stupidly still love. God help me. Every day a new LA disaster with fake friends all chasing celebrity or any whisp of fame. Most are too pretentious to care but feign their love convincingly before they throw you in front of the next oncoming bus. How I miss it. Carry on Garth, uh Seth I mean. You made LA comedy gold.
I really have no idea why this was rated so highly. It was way way too long, brooding, dark and frankly boring. I so miss Christopher Nolan's direction and vision. Pattinson was dull and lifeless and frankly hard to root for. Alfred was mostly missing. Cat woman was a nice addition earning at least some relief from boring brooding Pattinson.
