"Companion" is both highly entertaining and philosophically profound, and is also a reflection of a near-future society where technology has penetrated every corner of life, especially in the field of love. The film has many twists, but they are not forced, all are logically inserted, making viewers "wow" when connecting the events.
The acting of the cast in this film is truly a highlight. Sophie Thatcher has had a spectacular transformation. No longer the innocent and naive girl, the character Iris is now a robot with a complex and conflicted inner self. Every look, gesture, and voice of hers exudes a subtle psychological transformation: from innocence and submission to curiosity and fear, and finally coldness and determination to fear. In particular, Iris's eyes are the key for the audience to feel the "life" of a machine, sometimes soulless, sometimes bewildered, sometimes cold and full of menace.

The movie delivers a message about family and love. Family is not only those who are blood-related, but also those whom we have bonded with and love. Love is not only between similar people, but can also happen between different people in every aspect.
With humorous scenes and touching moments, the movie has scored with audiences and become one of the most worth-watching films in Taiwan this year.
The film also portrays the importance of acceptance and understanding in relationships. It shows that in order to build a strong bond with someone, we must accept them for who they are, flaws and all. This message is exemplified through the characters of Minh Han and Mao Mao, who initially struggled to get along due to their differences but eventually learned to accept and appreciate each other.
Another theme explored in the movie is the idea of second chances. The characters in the film are given second chances to make things right and rebuild their relationships. This message serves as a reminder that it's never too late to make amends and start anew.
Overall, the film is a heartwarming and entertaining story that reminds us of the importance of family, love, acceptance, and second chances. It's a must-watch for anyone who enjoys a good mix of humor and emotion in their movies.
