What a dreadful show this is..mean minded man, I'm NOT going to say he's old he's ONLY 43!!! I really love dark, clever and irreverent humour this is none of the above. The actors aren't bad but it's a bit like Mother ans Son another much lauded but horrifically unfunny Australian sitcom offering. Why don't writers get that all the UK and USA funny sitcoms have well crafted three dimensional characters ? You can make them as mean as you like but if you're going to succeed they have to have something likeable about them and be more than a caricature otherwise you end up with this unfunny rubbish. Millennials are not all wimps and men that care about things are not wimps. Likewise the father shows no love for his daughter he's just a young miserable idiot...Australians generally are not good at comedy at all..only one funny show on the whole of Oz tv currently since Gogglebox finished and that's 'Have you been Paying attention?' Some classic comedy films but they are few and far between the mediocrity of most Oz productions. Sorry but it's all true don't listen to the 10/10 reviews and don't waste your time..watch reruns of Parks ans Rec, Brooklyn 99, Extras, UK Office (or USA one for that matter), Frasier, Mum, Cheers..to name a few..

  • When two bored, married assassins find they are each other's target, the fireworks really start

I wasn't expecting too much from this film due to the hype, but was very pleasantly surprised. Sure, the leads are impossibly good looking and the story line is completely ridiculous, but we always knew it wasn't a documentary. It really is a wild ride, very glamorous and violent, with witty lines and gorgeous wardrobes. Angelina Jolie does a great job of being very cool, with a warmth and unexpected vulnerability bubbling just below the surface. Brad tends to be guilty of wooden acting in some films, but not this time. He also plays his part with warmth and an endearing eccentricity that he can do so well. These two certainly compliment each other, and there is no denying that the on-screen chemistry is just about the best I've seen in a very long time. The support acting is good, especially Vince Vaughn, but the show belongs to Angelina and Brad, and rightly so. Great fun, great lines, great cheekbones.

  • Australian story of adopted 'miracle baby' finding herself

This story is beautifully acted. It is both sad and heartwarming about a young girl's journey to discover where she has come from and where she is going. Stephanie was adopted by her mother's best friend after her mother and father were killed in a car crash, and ever since she has been labeled the 'miracle baby', she is dyslexic and is finding life a bit tough. Her findings along the way affect those closest around her. Her relationship with her guardian and her guardian's ex boyfriend are handled very delicately and sensitively, and the whole of the supporting cast are genuine, 3 dimensional and believable. Set around a peach canning factory in small town Australia, this is a warm gentle, erotic film, and leaves you with a pleasant feeling when the credits close. After reading some of the other rather shallow comments about Hugo Weaving, I would like to add that I think he was brilliantly cast, and was extremely sexy. No, he is not Brad Pitt, but that doesn't mean that he isn't attractive.
