This movie Gives me a 80s 90s vibe of Heartfelt moments of a movie it also gives me a bit of a racing stripes 2005 vibe... I love that this movie was not a monster movie a horror movie but it was a very heartfelt family film. That truly reminiscing reminds what a good family film feels like I kinda almost feel like I forgot what that film felt like because movies aren't made like this anymore very often it is very risk to make a movie and Ava really shining this movie and kudos to Director for providing some amazing vision this really has some great characters that really sticks with you after the movie.
This Movie gives me a Spielberg 70's Duel vibe I think, given the budget of the film and even the timing where cameras are not as efficient as good as they are now it really still gives it a very cinematic appeal. I thought Lee Vermont did a really good job with the world building and a storytelling and it really had great photography... The acting was really decent, kudos to this fellow filmmaker for doing what he did with a very low budget but still very effective and the storytelling. You really can't tell that this is a film. I think more movies like this need to be made more often I love seeing filmmakers take this kind of risk.
I have followed Director Alex Hwang for a good eight years and I think we always have similar journeys but seeing his movie bang bang Betty, I am really, really proud of this fellow filmmaker for making a straight up action film and doing it in a particular style that you don't really see coming from the indie genre I love how he chooses projects to set himself apart from other filmmakers, and this is something that should be studied by filmmakers to really expand and know your market and taking chances outside of horror don't give me wrong. I absolutely love horror, but this is a really really well done movie and I recommend anybody to truly give it a watch. I think this is underrated.
