One thing you would agree post analysing bollywood and world cinema is that there will rarely be a filmmaker as proficient and prolific as Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Ofcourse, there are many historic films, that may exceed Bajirao Mastani in story. But as a film, with the inputs of Sanjay as the director and music producer, and Ranbir and Deepika as the lead actors, this movie is beyond comparison.

It's a shame that the Rajput community slapped him for making Padmaavat and we stopped seeing this personality of Sanjay, it would be a big loss to Indian film Industry.

But, rest assured that this is a film that will not only take you back in time, but also leave you there for some time.

You'd be edged to research more about Bajirao, Mastani, Maratha Empire, Maratha-Rajput relations, Mughal-maratha relations and the entry point of Nizam of Hyderabad and the King of Bundelkhand.

Indian history is ripe with stories and characters, countless kings and kingdoms, stories of extraordinary fervour and valor, take pride in this history while you still can.

It's amazing that being an outsider from all this, Sanjay as a Jain followed the story and captured the essence of the time so perfectly with this story.

I hope I see a film on Durgadas Rathore, Jaswant Singh Rathore, Ganga Singh Rathore, Rao Shekha and even the Mughals by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but the IQ of Indian audience or at least some section of it will prevent so much to be produced, and we will have no option but to celebrate mediocrity like Prithvi Raj Chauhan movie or the Panipat one.

Regardless, watch Bajirao Mastani while you can, enjoy the music while you can. It will be unlike anything you'll see ever again, or have seen as yet.

Watch it to understand Indian history, make it a priority if needed.

White it's gettable what the movie tries to show, and it's real issues with an entertaining and well made plot, but still the motivations of characters are all a bit messed up and in the end, you end up feeling sad for most of them.

I liked this in a way as this was my first spanish film, and I was able to see many things that might reflect Spanish society, not in a postive/negative sort of way, but just in a raw manner.

Overall, It was a nice experience and it made me think about so many aspects, particularly body shaming, loneliness and madness within people. How small things can lead to big events, but I wouldn't recommend it as your usual weekend watch, as I wanted the film to end quickly at times.
