I think many of us, over time, have come to realize the value in creating friendships via gaming. What we once thought as superficial, we've come to recognize that these are true friendships that can support us through our tiials and tribulations. Mats was able to be free, to be his ideal, in the gaming world. One can join, or create a safe space in these gaming communities, where in "real life," the challenge to to be included, or accepted was limited, or non-existent. With the help of his logs, his guild, and the creators of WWC, a beautiful legacy was created. Just make sure you have plenty tissues handy.
Hard Cell is presented in that docu-style that Gervais made so popular with The Office. As I watched this series, I found it humorous, with the usual, multi-character talents of aTate. However, each of the additional actors shine in their own right. Tate's main character, Laura the governor, is well-intentioned, but misguided. She insists on taking her eye off the ball, using the prison's budget on creative and inspirational programs, which backfire on her spectacularly. Tate wraps up the season with all of your questions answered, if somewhat disturbingly. The, "oh-my-god ending", was completely unexpected. I'm hooked, bring on season 2.
As others have stated, serious subject matter treated like an episode of your favorite, funny, late-night talk show.
