This film is the gift our dying civilization truly deserves!! Pure anxiety hilariously cranked to 11, with amazing performances from a phenomenal cast, an amazing script that undulates between profoundly personal idiosyncrasies and gut bustingly hysterical madness! Absolutely no way to succinctly explain any of this chaos, one simply has to experience it for themselves, just buy the ticket and take the ride...as many times as you can! It's the kind of film I wish was more a mini series, as there's no way to predict what's going to happen next, and you want to spend as much time in this universe as possible!
I doubt Aster will ever make anything on this level again, a supreme work of the soul that needs to be celebrated far more!! GO WATCH IT!

In A Tedious, Tensionless Nature finally proves that you can make an exhaustingly boring slasher that puts you to sleep despite having pretty decent gore...avoid at all costs!!
This movie seems like it wants to frustrate the audience as much as humanly possible, not having the slightest understanding of how to build characters, tension/dread, or anything even interesting. It's a slow, dull slog of watching a guy walk around, victim characters randomly talking about none sense to fill the interminable time it takes the killer to get to them. If it's supposed to be a satire or parody, it just falls utterly flat, as the kills just look like a guy in a suit, ripping up a bunch human looking props...which look great, but not in this insufferably boring movie...
If anyone knows the director, writer, producer...shame them...SHAME THEM HARD!

I bought this years ago, and enjoyed it far more than I thought I would! The only down side was the dvd had horrible sound distortions every other minute in the first 15 min or so. I picked up a three pack of films tonight that happened to include Swamp Devil, popped it in and it the distortions were gone! Glad someone fixed the error! So if you buy a new copy, you should be good to go!
