Fun level I give it a one out of ten. There is nothing fun or cool about this movie nor the Falcon/Captain America character. In The First Avenger there was Red Skull. In Winter Soldier there was Winter Soldier. In this, the villains are named Copperhead and Sidewinder, two characters in Marvel comics who should look like snakes, should be cool, but they removed that trait in favor of something more disgusting with Copperhead, and nothing distinct at all with Sidewinder. Also, Red Hulk is a boring character. Its all just too familiar, including some sanctimonious lecturing from Falcon. He's the worst. See Falcon and Winter Soldier: "Do better!" in Falcons words, then he berates Batroc the Leaper for being French. Old super soldier character is depressing. What a waste of money.
Good action. Good elements to the story. Fast paced. Great potential. Failed by the audio and voice acting. Couldnt understand half of what was being said. So i tried it with subtitles and even the captions seemed to struggle with the transcript such as using words 'reach' when i think they are saying rage. Secondly, often using choppy animation that is plaguing the animation industry I thought looked awful and annoying and unnecessary. Thirdly, I'm not into cartoon sex and nudity. It is also unnecessary. Zach Snyder projects, like so many unchecked directors these days, are getting increasingly difficult to sit through.
This is like watching an animatic.
Toon Boom glossary definition: Animatic: "A movie made by sequencing the panels in a storyboard, and timing each panel for the rough duration of the action they represent, and in sync with the soundtrack. Animatics are used to convert the storyboard into a very rough draft of the final movie, to determine the time alloted to each scene and each action and to synchronize the action with the sound track." If you've ever tried to watch the animatics in the deleted scenes of an animated movie, feels unfinished. Unwatchable. Another edition to ruin TMNT. Everyone please stop "animating on the ones". Flip book animations are smoother than this.
