  • The best thing to come out of Hollywood since the 80s

First off I knew very little about Deadpool before going into this movie, part because I'm not big into comics and also to avoid any spoilers as I was admittedly caught up in the hype. I don't even like Ryan Reynolds most of the time but he's on another level in this. The serious parts he plays incredibly well pulling the audience on the team Deadpool bleachers by the end of the film. Every joke hit with roaring laughter at the screening I attended and the fun was entirely infectious. This is the kind of movie my generation wants to see; terrifying yet hilarious, crude but smart and oh so deliciously gory. The fact that it sits with over 8/10 but at a 65 currently on the professional critics scale shows how far from relevant these people's opinions are. Bring on Deadpool 2, raise a statue in his honor and let's all enjoy life a little.

  • The mind of the most influential artist of our time

I wouldn't consider myself a rabid fan of Gigers work, I don't have anything besides the Alien movies and a poster packed away somewhere to show my love of Giger. That being said you can't deny the genius that is Giger and this documentary had everything I could hope to see from the man and his small crew of loyal followers. In Dark Star the filmmakers give us more than just a peek at Gigers expansive often discussed home. Giger is a gentle man, a quiet and humble eccentric who puts you through a range of emotions in his amazing yet sometimes tragic life. Everything Giger owns and has surrounded himself with has his biomechanical signature on it. I'm very happy Dark star was completed while Giger was still alive I don't think anything can beat seeing his life through his eyes. Absolutely fascinating from start to finish, get lost in the disorienting Nightmare Labyrinth of this genius.

  • Not bad for one watch

There's many ups and downs in bath salt zombies, at times it's pretty impressive what they've done with this no budget flick, while in other instances it's pretty apparent that they're filling time until the good stuff can happen again. Judging it as a no budget movie I've certainly seen worse, hell the last half hour is quite good and makes you wonder why the same care and attention wasn't used in the slower moments. Also the sound editing is a huge issue as it's almost non existent. Blaringly loud one minute to super quiet within the same scene. Overall if nothing else this is a good starting point to all those involved, they're definitely on their way up! If they improve on what's here their follow up projects will be worth viewing. It's just too bad they've already burned through this great concept. These are the kinds of remakes that need to happen.
