An absolute beautiful film capturing loneliness in it's various forms and fear of letting go of the past. And the beautiful serene peacefulness of island life.
Don't be fooled into thinking its just a goofball comedy. Tim Key comes a cross as a bit of an oddball leaning heavily into his dry humour, but I did not leave this film without strong emotions from his characters story and performance. Never seen Tim Key act and I hope he finds more roles to show off his talents.
It is a very undemanding watch, but so much of the story is subtext. The cast is so good at bringing depth to every character; I want to know more about everybody in this movie from shop owner to the boatsman.
