He is disrespectful, looks down on her and openly insults her, can't dress for the weather, and has zero self-awareness around his privilege, but who wouldn't fall in love with such a catch?
And then you have a childless couple that 'the lord didn't bless with children' and other mentions of religion that are very superficial and feel unnecessary and just forced to tick some boxes for religious makers/viewers.
And nobody wears a bloody hat or gloves.
This type of movies have already de-sensitised me to all of that, so I was able to watch it. But c'mon!
At least to set was tasteful, nicely done and didn't feel artificial.

I don't know what was it - the cheap interiors, the polyester clothes, the wedding-level hairsprayed hairdos and makeup, the tone of voice of the female lead, the lenses the used to shoot, the sad town it was shot at, overdone eyelashes of the female lead that made her squint in a strange way, ... Or maybe everything at the same time? And why they were dressed so strangely??? So out of style and fashion?
Not terrible.
Great supporting cast.
The male characters were refreshingly nice and non-toxic.
I also liked that the story spreads across a few months.
But it was just so sad and energy-draining.

Nothing special but a few nice moments.
It's a big plus that the main male character is not an abusive, toxic male, which the main female character has to endure in order to discover some of his good sides and, in the end, fall in love with him.
The guy in this movie was actually a decent guy from the beginning. Even the characters' initial rivalry was set up without us hating the guy!
It is a lovely fairy tale about the mistletoe growers - from their relationship, through their 'magic' to how dreamy their house was.
Unfortunately, despite having all the good elements, something didn't work in this movie. Perhaps the lack of chemistry between the two leads... Or the lack of chemistry between the main lead and her girlfriend characters...
